By now, you’ve surely heard about the immigrant caravan slowly winding through Mexico. It probably sounds eerily familiar to immigration issues you’ve heard about in the past, but this time it’s different! Trump is saying mean things, so it changes everything. You wouldn’t be reading this if you had blind faith in the general reporting of the mainstream media. You’re here for an honest outlook and a deeper truth, so here it is.
The Annual Caravan
You might remember back in the Obama days (shudder) that there was a massive wave of illegal immigration from Central America. We all argued about it, and it was frustrating, but most media outlets treated it like a unique occasion. That is not remotely true. The reality is that a “charity” organization named Pueblos Sin Frontiers has been organizing migration caravans out of Honduras and other Central American countries for 15 years.
The Obama-era caravan you remember was one of the largest, but it wasn’t really exceptional. This year, the caravan is smaller, but it still numbers more than 1,100 illegal immigrants. Pause on that for a moment. Every single one of these immigrants illegally crossed into Mexico, and that is their plan for the U.S.
The Mexico Problem
One of the primary issues with this annual caravan is that Mexico encourages it. For those who don’t know, Mexico has substantially tougher immigration laws than the U.S. they have no qualms with locking up illegals and throwing away the key. In general, their borders with Guatemala and Belize are quite tight and secure.
Why then do they allow this large caravan of illegals through every year?
Many speculate that bribes and other issues of corruption are involved, but the most obvious answer is that they don’t care because the immigrants are just passing through. It’s America’s problem, not Mexico’s. To date, Mexico has turned a blind eye to tens of thousands of these immigrants, and the vast majority have illegally made their way into our country.
The Trump Factor
As you might expect, Trump has been outspoken on the issue. He decries the caravan of illegal immigration and Mexico’s complicit involvement. He publicly announced that Mexico’s inaction would be remembered and reflected in impending NAFTA negotiations.
As a result, Mexico intervened in the caravan for the first time in its history. They claim their actions have nothing to do with Trump, but this is the first time they’ve vetted the immigrants in over a decade. Mexico has already disbanded the group and begun a process of deporting and granting asylum on a case by case basis. This doesn’t completely eliminate the problem, but it certainly mitigates some of the damage.
For the immigrants who are granted asylum in Mexico, many will still try to cross our border. Because their numbers will be dramatically lessened, our border patrol has a fighting chance to actually catch them. We can then apply our own vetting process and grant asylum where appropriate, but you can expect most of them to be denied a crossing.
Pueblos Sin Frontiers
So far, this sounds like another win for Trump, and to a degree it is. But, now we get to the real dirt. The group organizing the caravan, Pueblos Sin Frontiers masquerades as a nonprofit charity. They solicit funds to help the immigrants cross Mexico and get legal assistance to enter the U.S.
That much wouldn’t be so bad, but it’s all a front. At least 500 of the immigrants in this year’s caravan aren’t Honduran families. They are marked and known socialist radicals.
It turns out the Pueblos Sin Frontiers has been actively working to bring such radicals into the U.S. for years. Many have criminal records in their home countries, and many others have been caught plotting disruptive, dangerous and illegal actions upon arriving in the U.S. Many others have been known to vote in elections in multiple states.
Under the guise of a humanitarian effort, Pueblos Sin Frontiers is another leftist group working to undermine the working system of U.S. government. Oh, did we forget to mention that it’s primarily funded by George Soros?
In our quest to find out more about this “charity” we followed the paper trail of its donors and supporters to a group called CARA Family Detention Pro Bono Project. CARA encompasses two legal groups, the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. and the American Immigration Council, both of which are funded by none other than radical liberal billionaire George Soros.
Like the terrorists in the Middle East, the refugee caravan is hiding behind real innocents (well, as much as a knowingly illegal immigrant can be innocent). And, like those terrorists, their real aims are just as nefarious and destructive as anything we have seen. Trump didn’t protect us from more illegal immigration and potential thugs. He actively undermined one of the left’s most heinous plots.
