May’s Job Report Stuns Media (into Silence)

It’s the first of the month. You know what that means: time for another jobs report. There hasn’t been much buzz preceding this month’s statement. That’s just proof-positive that we’re so used to Trump’s positive numbers that we’ve grown numb. Sorry, that should have come with a spoiler warning.

It was another great month for jobs and the economy. Let’s break it down and see which Americans are winning under Trump. Here’s another spoiler: it’s everyone.

By the Numbers

The two big numbers are the total job gains, 164,000, and the new unemployment rate, 3.9%. Total job growth isn’t a stunningly large number, but it was enough to push unemployment to the best we’ve seen since 2000. Simply put, there aren’t enough unemployed Americans anymore to sustain massive job growth. We’re in a very, very healthy economy.

All of the experts agree, and the stock markets are having a nice day as a result. (This does not mean the correction is over, though.) Wage growth increased by 0.1 to get us to 2.6 over the last 12 months. This isn’t explosive, but it is still a healthy level above inflation. It also isn’t enough to spark a stock panic like we saw at the end of January.

The biggest source of new jobs was professional services. They added 54,000 positions. Manufacturing came in second with 24,000 new jobs. You might have noticed that liberal media isn’t talking about manufacturing much anymore. Since Trump took office, the sector has only seen growth, and they can’t acknowledge this huge win.

In a similar vein, mining added about 7,000 new jobs — another dead area that seems to be reviving. Every month we get to call the left liars in respects to these industries, and it doesn’t get old.

The bigger news is in regards to the breakdown of unemployment. Women in America are now at a 3.5 rate. This is better than the male rate of 3.7. It looks like all of that workplace discrimination is really holding women down (Not!). For those of you paying close attention, these combined rates don’t add up to the 3.9 total. This is because working-age minors aren’t counted by gender.

The final fun number we get to review is black unemployment. It measured at 6.6. For those keeping score, that’s a new all-time record — barely breaking the record set just a few months ago. Once again, we get to show the left that, empirically, black Americans are better off under Trump than they were under Obama. In fact, they’re better off under Trump than any other president. Ever.

And, just in case you were wondering, all of the other races are faring well too. White unemployment is at 3.6, the Hispanic number is at 4.8, and Asians are reporting 2.8. When it comes to the economy, it looks like Trump has already succeeded in making America great again, if not better than ever.

The Media Response

Every jobs report gives us additional proof that the left really does hate America. The most admittedly left-wing outlets simply aren’t reporting the news at all. As of the time of this writing, the Huffington Post still has exactly zero articles covering the jobs report. Back when Obama was in office, they jumped on every report as an opportunity to sing his praise. Other organizations are submitting obligatory coverage but hiding it as “third page” news.

In each case, liberal media is trying to cherry pick data to make Trump look bad. For instance, this April’s job growth is lower than last April. Now, any logical person would expect that because the available pool of workers is so small. That doesn’t change the fact that this month had better job growth than the April of 2016, Obama’s last April. It’s the usual smoke and mirror nonsense you should expect from mainstream media, but we’re always determined to highlight the real truth.

In short, Trump has won on jobs every month that he has been in office so far. He didn’t just enable healthy job and wage growth on average, he solved problems that have plagued minority employment throughout U.S. history. When he said we would get sick of winning, this is what he meant. It’s almost boring to report the same thing every month. The economy is great, and it is a direct result of Trump’s economic policy.
