It was October of 2015. Senator Ted Cruz sat at the head of a judicial subcommittee with the president of the Sierra Club, Aaron Mair, in the hot seat. What ensued was a slaughter- not that any major news outlet would notice. If the media had reported on it properly, it might have made a huge dent in public perception of climate change. Because when it comes to climate change the far left leaning media barons of the world are stonewalling Americans into believing this conspiracy theory. There doing so at the cost of reason, and democracy; a stonewalling that is being done in the name of saving the planet. But what if the science is wrong? Or worse- what if it’s a lie?
We already know that of the famous 97% of climate scientists who supposedly agree that humankind is causing the atmosphere to warm through co2 emissions- most have said that their statements were exaggerated, taken out of context or just outright misrepresented.
But they say it over and over. They hold it up like someone trying to ward off a vampire with a crucifix. “97% of climate scientists agree with us. 97%!…” On and on, endlessly. It sounds convincing at first. I admit- I was convinced by it for a while.
But there’s a problem with it. Geological data shows that the Earth has been warming and cooling in a cyclical fashion for as long as the geological record is able to be read. Not only that but co2 only makes up 4% of the total greenhouse gases that we’re meant to think can cause the Earth to trap heat- and of the 4%- humans are only responsible for a fraction.
There’s another problem with the official story. Volcanoes produce more greenhouse gases than humans do, far more. So do all the animals of the world. There’s another problem- plants consume co2 quite rapidly. They are absolutely ravenous for the stuff. The more co2 there is in the atmosphere, the more quickly plants grow to consume it. It’s plant food! Farmers who want their enclosed crops to grow more rapidly, actually pump co2 directly into their greenhouses to stimulate faster crop growth!
But we’re meant to believe that our co2 is killing us, even though there’s a much better explanation for the recent rise in temperatures, which by the way- is well in line with the historical heating and cooling record- the Sun.
There has been more solar activity in recent years. The Sun has cycles of its own, and right now it’s going through an active cycle. The Sun, our great yellow powerhouse in the sky is having a hot spell. It’s done this before, and it’s doing it now.
Mr. Cruz made a serious dent in the climate change facade when he confronted Sierra Club president, Aaron Mair. He said to Mair that he’s seen satellite data that contradicts what the 97% of climate scientists are said to agree on, that the globe has been heating up in a dangerous and unprecedented way.
Mr. Mair repeated, “97% of scientists agree with us.”
Mair said that several times both before and after agreeing that the satellite data was accurate. He repeated it over and over as if it were a magical talisman that could ward off the hated specter of the facts. It was truly, disgusting.
When Mr. Cruz questioned him further Mr. Mair became flustered and declaration that “the science was in, and there should be no debate.” If Mr. Cruz wasn’t a gentleman I’m sure we would of seen him roll his eyes.
The fact is we live in a world where bald-faced lies can stand in the presence of hard data and cold facts and not be obliterated. Worse, we live in a nation where roughly half of policy makers are foisting these lies on the public for the clear purpose of subverting free trade, and hindering the businesses that support our families, our communities and keep our nation strong. It is the recurring liberal tactic of using the guise of moral rectitude to hide an unceasing grab for power and control.
Many people believe that this election year will be a time to strike a blow against this hidden agenda. We can only vote our consciousness, stay as well informed as we know how to, hope that they are right- and that the tide changes in favor of facts, justice and common sense.
