5 Things You Should Know About Presidential Hopeful Amy Klobuchar

Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar recently added her name to a crowded field of Democrats seeking the presidential nomination in 2020. Positioning herself as the next door neighbor candidate, her announcement enjoyed a snow flurry that prompted climate change lampooning by Pres. Trump on Twitter following her announcement.

The 58-year-old lawyer has been touted as a rising star who showed a knack for balancing allegiances to her home state’s Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party with the far left policies of the DNC. Political analysts see her as a dark horse candidate who is unlikely to woo the liberal extremists who have seized control of the party in recent years. In order to appease liberal primary voters, she has taken up a partisan position against the White House despite previously being seen as a politician willing to reach across the aisle.

Although the mainstream and fake news media are more inclined to promote liberal extremists such as Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth “Fauxcahontas” Warren and Kamala Harris, Sen. Klobuchar ranks among the candidates with the least damaged reputations moving forward. Her odds of going toe-to-toe against President Trump in 2020 are as good as any at this point in the race, and these are five things you should know about Democrat presidential hopeful Sen. Amy Klobuchar.

1: Klobuchar is a Late-Term Abortion Advocate

After New York passed a law that promotes late-term abortion to such an extreme that it is being called “infanticide,” other liberal lawmakers have been pushing to deny that unborn children enjoy any constitutional rights whatsoever. Virginia, Rhode Island, and Vermont are all on the cusp of passing unholy anti-life legislation. If Sen. Klobuchar were to win the White House, America would become a nation of child killers.

During her tenure in the U.S. Senate that began in 2007, Klobuchar registered 36 out of a possible 36 votes to support late-term abortions. Never once did she vote to place any limitations on abortion.

She has drawn the ire of her home state’s pro-life organizations.

“Klobuchar said in her announcement speech that ‘everyone matters,’” Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life Executive Director Scott Fischbach said. “But there’s one class of innocent human beings — the youngest and most vulnerable members of our human family — whom she thinks matter very little.”

2: Klobuchar Earned an “F” Rating from the NRA

In terms of the Second Amendment Right to bear arms, this is one of the areas that Klobuchar has tried to be on both sides of the issue. Unfortunately, the National Rifle Association didn’t buy her double-speak on gun rights and gave her a failing grade.

On the one hand, Klobuchar claims that she wouldn’t do anything to negatively impact the ability of outdoor enthusiasts to hunt. On the other side, she was a pro-Hillary gun restriction advocate at the same time.

Her voting records reportedly show that she voted to ban magazines of more than 10 rounds, ban so-called assault weapons, and pushed to enhance Clinton-style background checks.

Gun owners recognize that Hillary’s background checks were designed to further intrude on privacy and seize as many firearms as possible. It was a sham. The NRA did its due diligence, and Klobuchar got an F. That’s all Second Amendment supporters really need to know on this issue.

3: Klobuchar is Wishy-Washy on Immigration

Another issue that Klobuchar has carved out as being on both sides, the Minnesota senator claims to be in favor of reasonable immigration reform. She once voted in favor of securing the U.S.-Mexico border through the use of barriers and increased border patrol agents.

But out the other side of her political mouth, the senator favors so-called sanctuary cities that harbor violent illegal immigrants and the use of taxpayer money to provide them with welfare benefits. She reportedly blamed President Trump for the crisis at the border, saying he has “chosen instead to weaponize” and “politicize” immigration issues.

4: Klobuchar View the Green New Deal as a Fantasy

Even the Wall Street Journal has roundly mocked the so-called “Green New Deal” pushed by Corey Booker, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and others in the Democratic Party.

Sen. Klobuchar, unlike some of her primary competitors, is not taking the bait. She has astutely referred to the proposed legislation that would ban gasoline and farting cows as directionally correct, but unrealistic.

“I see it as aspirational, I see it as a jump start. So, I would vote yes, but I would also, if it got down to the nitty-gritty of an actual legislation as opposed to, ‘oh, here are some goals we have,’ that would be different for me,” Klobuchar reportedly said.

5: Klobuchar Is a Resist and Obstruct Democrat

When push comes to shove, Klobuchar has voted in lockstep with Democrat leadership to resist and obstruct President Trump’s America First agenda. For the record, she voted against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that has helped revitalize the economy and resulted in record low unemployment and wage increases. She voted against both U.S. Supreme Court nominations and numerous federal judges.

Sen. Klobuchar may want voters to fancy her as something of an independent thinker doing the people’s business, but her track record shows she’s a puppet for the liberal extremists running the Democratic Party.
