A Tale of Two First Ladies – Melania vs. Crooked Hillary

The Office of First Lady Melania Trump has publicly called for a national security aide to be fired. You can pretty much imagine how the media will spin this one: Ice Queen Viciously Attacks Innocent, Wildly-Important Person, Thereby Endangering National Security. Since the media will want to pretend that this is the first time that a First Lady has ever recommended an employee be fired, we thought it would be a good time to revisit one of former First Lady Hillary Clinton’s vilest scandals for comparison purposes!

Here’s the Melania story in a nutshell: National Security aide Mira Ricardel was brought into the Trump White House by NSA advisor John Bolton. Ricardel is a total Deep State hag and according to all published accounts, is a charmless know-it-all who gets into fights with literally every man and woman she encounters. Following her recent trip to Africa, the lovely and charming Melania Trump had finally had enough. Her office has called for the contentious Ricardel – a lifetime Council on Foreign Relations member – to be fired.

We don’t know all the details of what happened on the Africa trip. However, you should notice that Melania’s office has called for Ricardel’s firing publicly, out in the open, in broad daylight. Keep that in mind as you read about Travelgate now. Travelgate was one of the first scandals to hit the Clinton White House in 1993 (but oh, boy, it wouldn’t be the last!).

Soon after the Clintons moved into the White House, a shocking discovery was made. The White House Travel Office staff was a bunch of dirty embezzling crooks, according the FBI and the IRS. Bill Clinton, being a man of such great honor and integrity, immediately fired the entire Travel Office staff of career employees. Served ‘em right, the dirty crooks! That set the stage for what would be known for years as the tight, scandal-free ship of the Clinton administration!

In the midst of all of that turmoil, First Lady Hillary Clinton was calm, cool and collected. According to the mainstream media, she was just a casual observer! The media gushed, “Isn’t it amazing that First Lady Hillary Clinton is so poised and amazing while all this random chaos is happening around her? She’s positively dazzling! Did she just look at me? Seriously, I think she just looked at me, oh-my-gosh I’m going to faint!” (And those were just the male reporters.)

The Travel Office employees were under an FBI investigation for two years after they were fired. But then in a weird turn of events, Travel Office Director Billy Dale was acquitted and declared completely innocent of all embezzlement charges after less than two hours of jury deliberations.

Three years after the Travel Office firings, the New York Times got its hands on, and finally published, a memo that paints the story juuuuust a little bit differently.

As it turns out, the Clintons had a donor friend named Harry Thomason, a Hollywood producer who just so happened to own a charter air service. How lucky for America since the entire Travel Office staff had just been fired! Lest you should think the Clintons are a couple of low-class hicks, we want you to know that Thomason’s film credits include “Revenge of Bigfoot” and “The Designing Women Reunion.”

Hillary Clinton wanted to immediately fire all of the Travel Office employees in 1993 and give those jobs to Thomason’s employees in a classic, nepotistic pay-to-play scheme that would become a hallmark of the Clintons’ “donor relations” platform. Unfortunately for Hillary, she couldn’t just fire federal labor union employees without cause. So, Hillary did what any cold, calculating sociopath who drinks the blood of virgins to prolong her lifespan would do in that situation: She had her husband sic the FBI and the IRS on a group of ordinary White House employees who had committed no crimes.

And First Lady Hillary Clinton was far from a “casual observer” of innocent public employees being relentlessly investigated by the full power of the federal government. According to the memo addressed to the White House Chief of Staff, published in the New York Times in 1996, Hillary Clinton was the villain behind the curtain who orchestrated the entire scheme. Everyday Joes and Janes had their lives and careers destroyed so that Hillary Clinton could give their jobs to a Hollywood friend.

Not only that, but Hillary Clinton also lied to federal investigators about her role in plotting and executing the Travel Office firings. This 1993 incident was the first usage of the little-known federal law that says Hillary Clinton can do things that will send Republicans and regular “little people” to federal prison if they do the exact same thing. (Keep this in mind if Robert Mueller indicts any Republicans in the coming weeks for “lying to federal investigators,” after he comes up empty on Russian collusion.)

So, it turns out that Melania Trump is NOT the first First Lady to ever orchestrate the firing of a federal employee. But she was certainly more honorable, classy and out-in-the-open about it than Crooked Hillary.
