“Bloody Monday” May Turn Out Very Good for America

Like most Trump voters, I’ve been starting to get a major toothache over this whole border fiasco. Somewhere between a million and a million-point-five illegal aliens are planning to pour across the border this year – like a sewage leak gone wild – and the DHS response is give them a rubber ink stamp on the backs of their hands and let them in.

Where’s the wall? Where are the alligators and land mines that I suggested? Does Trump even want to win in 2020? That last question was asked by Tucker Carlson last week and honestly, it’s a fair question.

Why is nothing happening at the border, aside from handing out “Welcome” packets to a gajillion new neighbors we’re expected to suddenly take in? Fortunately, a day that the press has dubbed “Bloody Monday” has arrived.

Whenever President Trump is doing something, and the media gives it a spooky nickname, that’s your first clue that what’s happening is probably very, very good for America. Here I was just expecting another Monday filled with horror stories out of El Paso, and the media is calling today a “bloodbath.”

Bloody Monday actually started over the weekend, when Trump fired the useless, ineffectual and wholly unequipped-for-the-job Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen on Twitter. She says she quit first, but who cares. She’s gone.

Nielsen was the anti-American hack who reversed former Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ zero tolerance policy at the border. As a result, nearly every illegal alien sneaking across the border now has a child in tow as a “get out of deportation free” card.

Does anyone look at the 600 foreign invaders being turned loose every day in El Paso as a smashing success? Great job, Nielsen! Pretty sure that’s not even vaguely similar to what any of us envisioned when we took a chance on Donald Trump being the guy who would save America from open borders.

Here are the duties of the Homeland Security Secretary. Step 1: Protect America from all threats, foreign and domestic. Step 2: Actually, there is no Step 2. That’s all it is – and Nielsen failed at Step 1. She should never have been given the job in the first place.

Americans have been gazing longingly at Israel’s immigration policy for years, but the line of ineffectual DHS Secretaries has never been able to pull it off. It’s not that hard. If you cross illegally, you don’t get to stay. Period.

Doesn’t matter if you made it all the way up to Maine or Montana, doesn’t matter if you kidnapped someone’s child to pretend you’re a parent, doesn’t matter if you have the secret cure for cancer in your pocket – you broke the rules and you have to go back.

Israel takes illegal aliens from Africa and sticks them directly on a plane to Ghana, where it unceremoniously drops them off. The hilarious part is that none of them are from Ghana, and it’s far enough away that they won’t be able to try to sneak in again soon.

The Border Patrol arrested 15 different child sex offenders in Arizona last month – and every single one of them had been deported just last year. We’re obviously not deporting them far enough away.

The US could easily adopt a similar approach to deal with the current border crisis, especially with the new hordes coming in from Honduras. We have plenty of open fields and space to set up “refugee processing” on Air Force land at Soto Cano Air Base – conveniently located in Honduras! Every illegal alien that we catch, fake families included, could be flown to Soto Cano for processing. Then, enforce the 1980 Refugee Act as it was intended.

Being poor and wanting a welfare check does not legally entitle anyone to claim asylum as a refugee, so all of the frauds (which is 99.9% of them) could be shown the gate and turned loose in Honduras. We’d never see ‘em again. Who’d want to make that trek again, with the risk of ending up in Honduras as a result?

After Nielsen was ousted, Trump then fired Secret Service Director Randolph Alles. This happened on the heels of the debacle with the Chinese spy arrested at Mar-a-Lago last week. The Secret Service totally dropped the ball and let a Chinese spy packing a bunch of malware-infected electronics into the resort. Mar-a-Lago staffers caught her and turned her back over to the Secret Service. Then, the Secret Service tried to blame the Mar-a-Lago’s security for its mistake.

Passing the buck like that is the exact opposite of leadership, and Alles fully deserved to be fired for it. After the ouster of Nielsen and Alles, three other open-borders globalists suddenly quit in a huff on Bloody Monday. US Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Lee Cissna, DHS Undersecretary for Management Claire Grady and General Counsel John Mitnick all packed their stuff in a cardboard box and left the building. This group of people has been doing the exact opposite of the immigration promises that Donald Trump ran on in 2016.

They have decided that America’s immigration laws somehow do not apply to people who have children (or borrow children) and drag them across the border with them. If a judge or prosecutor applied that standard to any other area of criminal law, they’d be removed from office for insanity. “Your honor, the suspect admits that he robbed the bank and shot a security guard in the process – but we’ve decided not to press charges because he has two kids to feed at home!”

The media reports that Trump adviser Stephen Miller is behind the firings of this bagful of America-hating open-border clowns, and that their removal is a sign that Miller is “seizing” more control over immigration policy. Oh, sweet manna from heaven, I hope that’s true!

If Miller really is taking more control of the immigration issue, we can expect to see two things in the very near future – action on the wall and a DHS Secretary who will actually protect America from this invasion. My personal shortlist for the next DHS Secretary is really, really short. These are basically the only prominent figures who would follow the black letter of the law and stop the border crossings: Kris Kobach or Steve Bannon.

If Trump nominates one of them to be his next DHS Secretary, we’ll know that he’s in it to win it in 2020. If he nominates anyone else, don’t be surprised if we see additional months followed by more months of inaction on the border. Fingers crossed.
