Buttigieg’s Rise Threatened by Secret Tape Recordings of Racist Comments

You’ve likely heard of Pete Buttigieg by now. He’s the media’s favorite du jour candidate right now and they are slathering him with attention. Buttigieg hasn’t announced a single policy he’d put forth, but that isn’t stopping the media from reporting on him non-stop. He’s everything that they love in a candidate: he’s gay, he doesn’t like Donald Trump, he’s gay, and did I mention he’s gay.

The only thing they don’t like about him is that he’s white. But they got over that the minute Buttigieg threw his former colleague and friend Mike Pence under the bus. Now they love him even more!

Buttigieg started his campaign by trying to run as the moderate Democrat. Assuming he could get through the primary, he could be a threat to Donald Trump if he appealed to centrists. The Democrats have jumped so far to the left on policy that a lot of normal Democrats are desperate for a candidate like Buttigieg. He avoided talking about abortion and single-payer healthcare, and he didn’t base the bulk of his campaign on mudslinging. He also got virtually no attention.

Realizing the problem, Buttigieg pivoted his platform. He abandoned discussing issues at all and instead focused all of his energy on leveling personal attacks at Vice President Mike Pence. There’s no underlying reason for the attacks. He just thinks it’s what Democrats want to see and hear. So, despite Pence’s long career of professionalism and support for Buttigieg, the latter politician has taken to accusing Pence of every evil imaginable.

Bad News Happens Fast

Buttigieg made two severe miscalculations so far in his short bid for the top job in the country. His first was thinking that the left-wing media would give him any amount of attention unless he devolved into sensationalism. This is an important point to understand. Democrats as a party aren’t necessarily against moving back towards norms and away from extremism. It’s the media that’s pushing the far-left into view and refusing to acknowledge non-radical platforms.

Buttigieg’s second miscalculation was assuming that increased attention would be good for his campaign. The attacks on Mike Pence worked, and now Buttigieg has the spotlight. Under that spotlight, his prior dirt is surfacing. What we’re now learning is that there are secret tapes from Buttigieg’s stint as Mayor of South Bend. Those tapes risk unveiling an ugly plot that paints Buttigieg as the worst kind of person and someone who stands no chance among Democrats.

The exact contents of the tapes have not been revealed, but a judge has subpoenaed them, and it’s only a matter of time before they go fully public. When that happens, we’re likely to learn that Buttigieg participated in a conspiracy to oust South Bend’s first black police chief over a racism scandal.

So Many Lies

Buttigieg took office in 2012. In that year, the FBI was contacted concerning a corrupt ring of police officers in South Bend. The issue was not with the entire police force, but taped conversations apparently showed that a small group of officers in the force were conspiring to carry out a racist agenda.

When the investigation was revealed to Mayor Buttigieg, he lied to the police chief to get him to resign. He then worked to cover up the scandal to protect his new position.

You see, the South Bend police station had a habit of recording conversations to make sure important tips were never missed. A secretary working in the office was going through the tapes and noticed that a small group of officers were systematically harassing black citizens.

The conversations showed a clear racist agenda, thus the FBI was called. When Buttigieg met with the accused officers and the police chief, he took their side and forced the chief to resign.

In short, he covered for a group of racists by firing the first black police chief. You might imagine how that’s a bad look for a person in a political position, and especially one who now wants to hold the top office in the country.

It will be some time before the full content of the taped conversations goes public, but according to a number of witnesses, we know what to expect. The tapes are going to put Buttigieg in a very hot seat, and it all came to light because he decided that baseless accusations against Mike Pence are more important than discussing issues and policy. It’s just another day of the left shooting themselves in the foot.
