Could America Please Have a Real Man to Run the DHS?

Here’s a suggested requirement for any future Department of Homeland Security Secretary. Before being sworn in to perform the job, all nominees must verify – on camera before a live studio audience – that they can beat the Obamacare “Pajama Boy” in two out of three arm wrestling bouts.

If that seems like setting the bar awfully low, then you must have missed acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan groveling in front of the illegal alien lobby on NBC’s “Meet the Press” over the weekend. After that performance, I think Pajama Boy could take McAleenan.

For background, here is how the MSM is using identity politics to tie two unrelated events together so they can manipulate your heartstrings. First, there was the El Paso, Texas shooting. Six of the 22 victims in the attack were apparently Mexican nationals. In an entirely separate and unrelated incident, ICE raided meat-packing plants in Mississippi and arrested 680 illegal aliens who had committed identity theft and stolen jobs from impoverished, unemployed Americans.

Through the magic of identity politics, “Meet the Press” suggested that McAleenan should have called off the ICE raids in Mississippi… because some Mexicans were killed in an unrelated event in Texas. Rather than pushing back like a grown man would do and noting that we can’t just suspend the rule of law based on a person’s skin color or immigration status, McAleenan immediately folded.

“The timing could have been better,” McAleenan wailed. Huh?

To his credit, McAleenan didn’t openly cry on television. Plus, he probably looks really stunning during his off time while wearing his “Nasty Woman” T-shirt and pink yarn hat. But is this really the best that America can do for a DHS Secretary, who is tasked with protecting Americans?

You can easily see the how the magic of identity politics is the exact opposite of America’s entire “equal under the law” tradition. Some Mexicans were killed in Texas, so illegal alien criminals should not be arrested in Mississippi until a proper period of mourning has passed.

Apply that same logic to Chicago, which is averaging something like a dozen black-on-black shooting crimes every day. Police there would never be able to bother black residents again, if they keep creating enough black victims on a consistent basis.

I’m not sure what NBC News’ problem is anyway. It’s not like McAleenan deported all 680 of the illegal alien criminals that ICE went to the trouble of arresting. McAleenan let 300 of them go, after they said that they had children at home. We’ve never seen the rule of law so brazenly suspended in America before. (Well… except for Hillary’s email server thing.) And the left continues to beat us over the head with their “family separation” rhetoric.

Family separation is part of the deal when it comes to enforcing the law. This is what’s known as “disincentivizing crime.” American citizens think twice about breaking laws because we know that if we’re caught, we get separated from our families.

Enron executives didn’t get to see their kids while they were locked up in prison. That’s called “justice.” It’s supposed to be painful, so criminals will think twice before committing the same crime again.

Never in America’s history has the FBI arrested a suspect with a bag of money and a bank teller’s blood on his shoes and then let him go, because he says, “If I’m not home by 5:00, there will be no one there to warm up Timmy’s tater tots!”

But that’s what manly stud of manhood Kevin McAleenan just did with 300 illegal alien criminals under final deportation orders. He let them go because of a sob story about their children, so they could scurry back out and steal jobs from Americans in nearby cities.

Deporting illegal aliens is a rough job. We can’t afford to have an effeminate, limp-wristed DHS Secretary who cries at every illegal alien’s sob story and lets them go. We want a DHS chief who will put illegal aliens in the deportation line—no matter what sob story they claim.

We need a DHS Director who is honorable enough to care about American children more than he does about the feelings of illegal aliens or NBC News. If Kevin McAleenan is willing to suspend the rule of law for criminals just because they have children at home, he is obviously not fit for the job of DHS Secretary.
