So far, Mueller’s probe into Russian election interference has found several unrelated financial violations by people only briefly associated with President Trump’s campaign and absolutely NO charges involving Russia. Separate investigations have unveiled Russian spies in the U.S., and they have been dealt with accordingly, but Mueller’s probe has been wholly unsuccessful in its true aim.
In the meantime, legitimate election interference has been ongoing right under our noses. And, it has nothing at all to do with Russia.
Chinese Tariff Propaganda
If you want to talk about nefarious actions, this fits the bill. China is spending millions on an anti-tariff propaganda campaign. That doesn’t seem too unusual. They spend tons of money on all kinds of propaganda within their borders. It’s communism 101.
What makes this different is that they appear to have partnered with American publications to spread the message stateside. In one example, the Sacramento Bee was quoting directly translated lines from the Chinese propaganda cartoons into their own publication. They reported that tariffs are disproportionately harming California almond farmers.
The irony of this particular example is that it’s completely wrong. California almond exports to China have grown since the tariffs went into effect. It just continues to prove that Trump seems to know more about how tariffs work than economically illiterate Democrats.
Regardless, it’s beyond disturbing to see American news outlets quoting Chinese propaganda. It also makes you wonder how much of the liberal mainstream media is deliberately colluding with China.
Chinese Cyber Attacks
In a different tack, China has an established history of illegal cyberattacks on foreign governments. Security groups in the U.S. have hinted that China seems to be ramping up its hacking groups for a pending effort. It doesn’t take a genius to realize that the November elections are a likely target. They clearly would love to see Trump lose support in Congress and maybe be less able to continue is “trade war” with the Chinese government.
This threat is so serious that the national Security Advisor, John Bolton, has gone on record to claim that China is one of the biggest cybersecurity threats to our voting process. If ignored, it’s likely that the Chinese could wreak far more havoc than the Russians were able to even consider.
China’s Google Partnership
This is where things turn truly dark and scary. Publicly, Google has agreed to adapt their search engine for use with China’s state-run internet access. It’s no secret that the Chinese want a search engine that will give them tighter control over what their citizens see, read and hear. Google has officially acquiesced to aid this effort.
That alone is scary enough. One of the biggest tech companies in the world is literally developing “Big Brother” technology for a communist government. That this is happening after Xi Jinping removed any form of term limits or checks against his increasingly totalitarian power is even more concerning.
Still, that pales in comparison to the darker truth. Anonymous Google employees are becoming increasingly vocal about their misgivings. You see, China has already been caught purchasing political ads on sites like Facebook.
Now, thanks to these anonymous employees, we have strong evidence that China is trying to use its relationship with Google to get more direct access to American voters. They want to infiltrate our most trusted search engine to better influence our elections.
That this is happening at the exact same time that Google is overtly silencing conservatives on YouTube only proves that they have abandoned pretense. The commies are here. They are powerful, and they are active.
It’s no wonder Democrats are increasingly favoring socialism. With widespread propaganda campaigns from the likes of Russia and China, the weak-minded are going to be extremely vulnerable to malicious influences. It’s tough to say what action will be most effective against these attacks, but one thing is certain. We have to guard ourselves against external influence. We also have to be vigilant and active in sharing real truth in the face of so many lies.
Most of all, we need to work to undermine the authority of partisan tech giants like Google. They might be willing to sacrifice America to the call of socialism, but we aren’t. Use other resources as often as possible and hit the extreme leftist tech companies in the pocketbook. They’ll cave.
