Hidden Truths in Comey’s Interview

Comey’s book tour is in full swing. He kicked things off with a big interview on ABC News earlier this week. It went about how you might expect. ABC pandered to a leftist audience and tried to make Comey the hero and Trump the villain. In between the unnecessary personal insults and self-adoration, Comey let slip some truths that carry heavy weight.

His interview, when carefully reviewed, did not paint the picture he probably intended. Instead, he made it clear that some of America’s biggest problems were and are closely tied to the FBI. The implications are massive, so here is what you need to know.

Even mainstream media abandoned trying to put any spin on this. Comey fully and openly admitted to his political biases in the interview, and he made it clear that they impacted his judgement as Director of the FBI. In particular, he said that he made his decisions regarding public announcements of the Hillary investigation because he assumed she would win.

Now, assuming Hillary was going to win isn’t necessarily evidence of dangerous bias. The polls had been saying it the entire election cycle. The problem is that he made his decision with the goal of strengthening her position after winning. He wanted to make sure that any remaining doubts among the American people would not in-substantiate her win. His goal was to have the investigation reopened and closed in time for voters to see that she wasn’t being prosecuted.

Wait a minute. Let’s talk about that for a minute. He stated that his goal was to have the investigation reopened and closed before the polls opened. How can an honest investigation have such a clear end date in mind? The answer, as you already know, is that it can’t. Comey unintentionally admitted to obstructing the FBI’s investigation of Hillary’s errors involving classified information. He never intended to treat her the same as any other citizen of the country, and he further emphasized that truth in the same interview.

Comey talked about how he was worried about public perception after Loretta Lynch infamously met with Bill Clinton on a tarmac. If you don’t remember the scandal in detail, Lynch met with Bill while she was still actively investigating Hillary. In every legal definition, this constitutes a conflict of interest and she should have recused herself from the investigation.

For comparison, look at how Jeff Sessions recused himself from the Russian investigation. As for Comey’s part, he actively worked to keep the investigation from being restructured despite the myriad problems with it. His goal was always to keep Hillary out of trouble, and he largely succeeded.

Comey’s admissions of bias and obstruction of justice allow us to infer greater problems with the FBI. We knew that many big players in the organization were Obama zealots and that their blind loyalty prevented them from doing their jobs. Now, we can see that Comey openly disregarded procedure and deliberately obfuscated the law. There was no outcry from within the FBI. That means that Comey’s views were reflected throughout the bureau. If you recall, many within the FBI were outraged when Comey was fired.

Well, we now have unequivocal proof that Trump did the right thing. The one-sided outrage shows that Obama’s corrupting tendrils reached every level of law enforcement, and even today, we can’t assume that the FBI is operating correctly.

A few more hints of corruption involve how Comey handled information. He admitted in the interview that he knew Hillary paid for the Steele dossier. He still didn’t object to it being the only evidence his office had to obtain illegal warrants on Trump’s campaign. In other words, he was complicit in political spying.

He also admitted to withholding important information from Trump on the simple ground of disliking the man. That’s the popular rhetoric, but really Comey was just continuing to play his part as an Obama-loving sycophant.

The bottom line is this: Comey abused his position and knowingly corrupted the integrity of the FBI. His interview suggests that, by his own standards, Hillary Clinton should be in jail. His words also substantiate the notion that the Russia investigation has no legs and that the FBI should get out of Trump’s way already. The swamp certainly needs draining, and with everything we just learned from Comey, a single presidential term might not be enough time to get the job done.
