One of the great controversies of the Obama administration has finally been cleared up. Ben Rhodes, the creative writing major who was placed in charge of creating a media echo chamber among stupid reporters to sucker America into the Iran nuclear deal, is publishing his memoirs this week.
Rhodes finally unravels the mystery of that photograph of Barack Obama bowing to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in 2009. To the American people, that photograph sure did make it look like – for the first time in history – an American president was bowing and groveling to a foreign leader like a whiny, sniveling, submissive little coward.
But, Ben Rhodes’ new book clears it up. You see, Rhodes says Obama was not bowing in that photograph. Obama was simply bending over to examine a case of jewels that the king had just given him.
Wait, what?
Yes, sure enough, the State Department has confirmed that Barack Obama and many of the members of his entourage for his Muslim Apology Tour 2009 accepted big sacks full of jewels from the Saudis.
The suck-up media of course portrayed Obama’s bowing to a foreign leader as part of his “smart diplomacy” which played out with the Muslim Brotherhood taking over Egypt, the destruction of Libya, the ongoing civil war in Syria, Muslim terrorists conquering almost half of Africa in just four short years, and monthly paychecks to foreign ISIS fighters (paid for by the US taxpayers).
Whether Rhodes is being honest about Obama bending over to grab the king’s jewels (there’s probably a better way to say that) is up for debate. Remember, Obama also bowed to the Japanese emperor, a Japanese robot, the queen of England, the Chinese, the president of Mexico, Raul Castro in Cuba, the mayor of Tampa and a child’s science project in India. Rhodes doesn’t mention any sacks of jewels being handed over in those incidents. So, take the claim for what it’s worth.
Rhodes does, however, state in his book that he awoke in Saudi Arabia to find a case full of jewelry waiting for him at the door. In fact, every person in Obama’s entourage received a “suitcase” full of jewels from the Saudis.
Rhodes, being pretty far down the totem pole in the Obama administration, received about $5,400 worth of jewelry according to the State Department. Being just a lowly speechwriter, Rhodes only rated some silver cufflinks, a couple of watches and a diamond jewelry set.
The case that Barack Obama bent over to pick up – if you believe he wasn’t bowing – had almost $200,000 worth of jewels for the Obamas, including a nice diamond and ruby set worth $132,000 alone for Michelle. The State Department says Obama aide Marvin Nicholson received more than $18,000 worth of jewels and deputy assistant Peter Rundlet was given more than $12,000 worth of jewels.
It is beyond dispute that Obama and his entourage accepted these gifts from the Saudis. Rhodes states it in his book and the State Department backs it up by detailing the value of the gifts. The Hillary Clinton-run State Department at the time said it would have “caused embarrassment” to the Saudi king if Obama and his lackeys had not accepted the suitcases full of jewelry. Uh huh.
The big question is, what did the Saudis purchase in exchange for those jewels? Obama received a suitcase full of jewelry on June 3, 2009 and the United States government handed control of Iraqi cities over to Iraq’s government on June 30. This was the beginning of the power vacuum Obama created in Iraq, which led to the creation of ISIS.
Al Qaeda, ISIS, the Muslim Brotherhood and the House of Saud all practice the same brand of Wahabi Sunni Islam. By October of 2009, daily suicide bombings by Wahabi Sunni Muslims had once again become a daily occurrence in the formerly Baathist Iraq.
Year after year, the world watched in stunned amazement as Wahabi Sunni-backed terrorist groups toppled governments that were formerly allied with the United States, and the Obama administration always sided with the terrorists.
But don’t worry. Obama didn’t bow to the Saudi king, according to Ben Rhodes. It was perfectly innocent because Obama was really just bending over to examine a suitcase full of jewels from a despotic foreign leader, so it’s all good.
