Media Tries to Save Face in MAGA Teen vs Native American Elder Debacle

An attack on America’s children is an attack on ALL Americans and the fake news media just declared war.

In what can only be characterized as an overt act of aggression by the biased mainstream media to vilify white children, facts have been manipulated to cast a group of Covington Catholic High School students as bad actors. Nothing could be further from the truth.

This group of young kids participated in the recent March For Life in Washington, D.C., and were beset by harassment from a weird religious cult of African-Americans calling themselves Hebrew Israelites and a group of Native Americans. Adopting statements by Omaha tribal elder Nathan Phillips, outlets such as CNN were quick to characterize the event as an Indigenous Peoples Rally despite the fact it was a major pro-life gathering.

CNN selectively pushed close-up images that make it appear Catholic teens advanced on the Native Americans and were actively engaging them. Thanks to others at the scene, broader video evidence emerged toppling CNN’s and other fake news reports. The Hebrew Israelites are also shown actively harassing the teens, yelling out racist comments and mocking the high schoolers.  Video shows the Native American group turns its march directly into the Catholic school youths in a deliberate act of intimidation.

Eye-witness video shows the boys wearing MAGA hats responding to shouts by the Hebrew Israelites by joyously singing their high school song louder. Phillips, a Native American elder and Vietnam veteran, tries to intimidate CCH student Nick Sandmann by walking directly up to him and putting a drum in his face and pounding it repeatedly.

Sandmann distinguishes himself by standing his ground with non-violent resolve. He makes no disparaging remarks or gestures toward the elder and makes no effort to return the aggressive behavior. He demonstrates true American ethics and reportedly told media outlets that he said a silent prayer to himself and smiled to indicate his peaceful posture.

The elder’s actions are reprehensible for any American and should be further denounced because he is a senior that should have learned that harassment and rude behavior toward minors are unacceptable. But in a twist that good Americans could not have anticipated, CNN sunk to a new and even more despicable low.

Although CNN and other anti-Trump outlets have been backpedaling in the face of rising evidence, the network labeled “fake news” by President Trump swiftly put Phillips on air and provided him a platform to pose as the victim and not the aggressor.

The CNN segment lends testimony that the network despises white children and particularly conservative Christians. The host reiterates the false claim it was a “tense moment” when “a young man got right in (Phillips) face.”

“This young fella put himself in front of me and would not move,” Phillips said on-air. CNN tosses out what appears to be pre-scripted questions that offer him a pathway to mislead the public about the events and characterize American youths as bad actors.

Video evidence that may have been scuttled by the network shows Native Americans approach the students, not the other way around. It shows angry Native Americans and smiling Catholic school teens. That’s what CNN and others do not want you to know.

The now-viral videos that show the entire event not only vindicate the high schoolers, they clearly show the teens embody true American values as activists engaged in a peaceful protest during the March For Life and people who responsibly stand their ground.

As the full video evidence rifles through social media, conservative pundits may have forced CNN to cover themselves against potential lawsuits from the youngsters’ parents by posting follow-ups. Keep in mind that professional journalists look at a wealth of facts before running articles or on-air segments. CNN is either completely incompetent, or they willfully and knowingly attacked these children. Either way, the lawyers at CNN are likely in panic mode because false accusations against minors will surely cost them money.

But even outlets such as Fox News and the National Review fail to back the youngsters to the degree they deserve. The National Review ran a piece called, “Nathan Phillips Lied. The Media Bought It.”

Todd Starnes at Fox News ran an opinion piece under the headline, “Covington Catholic High School students smeared by mainstream media lies — Don’t expect an apology.”

Even more concerning, the Roman Catholic Diocese reportedly put out a statement condemning the students’ behavior, and that needs to be reversed. Clearly, the church acted impulsively following the selectively manipulated fake news media reports without considering the Catholic students may have been in the right.

Americans should sleep well tonight knowing the future of the country is in the hands of people like the students at Covington Catholic High School who did not flinch in the face of intolerance, hate or harassment. The nation will need such leadership.
