Michael Savage ‘Savaged’ to Stop Trump

If radio powerhouse Westwood One’s latest corporate decision is any indication, the Secret Service needs to expand its safety cordon around President Trump. It’s only a matter of time before some corporate executive decides to strap on a suicide vest to “stop Trump.”

What genius decision has Westwood One made? They’re forcing talk radio legend Michael Savage off the air and replacing him with little Benny Shapiro.

This is a corporate decision akin to Fox News suddenly yanking Sean Hannity off the air one night and replacing his show with the Juan Williams Immigration Hour. (Don’t laugh. Roger Ailes’ globalist heirs just might do it.)

Are we overreacting? Is this just a case of “out with the old, in with the new” and we’re having trouble adjusting to change? Far from it.

Michael Savage is not some over-the-hill personality clinging to relevance. His fierce love for America and take-no-prisoners conservatism has continued to be a beacon to conservative talk radio listeners since he stormed on the scene two decades ago. Savage continues to rake in tens of millions of dollars for Westwood One through affiliates and sponsorships. His show has 14.8 million listeners and is second only to Rush Limbaugh, with his 16.5 million listeners. Laura Ingraham, with 6.8 million listeners, is in the extremely distant number three spot, far in Savage’s rearview mirror.

Ben Shapiro’s most popular YouTube video on his channel has 0.004 percent of Michael Savage’s audience – and that is mainly because Shapiro interviewed Tucker Carlson for that episode. (To his credit, Tucker asked Shapiro at one point, “Are you insane?”)

One of the biggest jokes on the right today is about how much that conservative video-hosting site known as YouTube absolutely LOVES the “conservative” Ben Shapiro.

If you are a conservative or at least somewhat right-leaning, chances are that your YouTube channel is constantly flooded with “Recommended Videos” from little Benny Shapiro (and a kooky Canadian professor who works for the UN named Jordan Peterson) – even if you’ve never willingly watched one of Shapiro’s videos.

He sounds like someone stuffed a microphone into the nasal cavity of one of the chipmunks from Alvin & the Chipmunks – and then gave the chipmunk some methamphetamines to speed his voice up even more. The same Google-owned YouTube that bans Alex Jones, Michael Savage and countless smaller conservative channels really wants you to pay attention to little Benny Shapiro!

This allows YouTube to sanctimoniously declare that it has no problem with conservative speech. “See! We promote Ben Shapiro! He’s like a sexy combination of John McCain and Mitt Romney among conservative commentators!”

For those who don’t remember, Shapiro’s career started when his daddy got him a job writing conservative commentary on WND.com in the 1990s, when Benny was a little boy. As a teenager, Shapiro was remarkably effective at parroting Republican talking points. The problem with Ben is that he never outgrew that obviously-propped-up child personality stage. He’s still a parrot of the neocon Bush conservatism that America rejected once and for all with the election of Donald Trump.

Shapiro’s schtick nowadays is to read a New York Times article to his viewers, make some sarcastic comments about how dumb liberals are and then move on without fighting or offering any actual solutions. Shapiro never, ever actually wades into the culture war. Sarcasm is the beginning and the end of his routine.

In fact, if you actually try to wade into the culture wars and fight, like Donald Trump or Michael Savage do, little Benny Shapiro will wring his hands and call you a bad person. We mustn’t stoop to the level of liberals, according to Shapiro, by actually winning fights. It’s better to take a knee and surrender the little girls’ restroom to transgenders than to sully our own reputations by protesting these things.

And that brings us to the real reason why Westwood One is willing to de-platform the wildly-successful Michael Savage and instead promote an unpopular Peter Pan type man that spouts approved globalist talking points. Michael Savage is savagely pro-American and pro-Trump. Savage is so pro-American that the British have banned him from ever setting foot in their country, lest he say something to offend their hate speech laws.

Long after the Trump presidency is over – hopefully in 2024 with a big, beautiful wall, a Muslim ban and a roaring economy – Savage will still be extolling the virtues of America and the Trump presidency. Little Benny the walking unibrow finds Trump and his deplorable supporters revolting and constantly expresses his desire to vomit because of Trump’s hilarious tweets. Although he’ll never publicly admit it, we’re willing to bet that Ben Shapiro, much like the entire staff at the now-bankrupt “Weekly Standard,” voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016.

The fact that Westwood One is willing to commit corporate suicide just to silence a pro-Trump voice like Michael Savage is a terrible sign for America. They hate him so much, they’re willing to take the whole ship and everyone on it down with them, just to stop the president.
