Boy, the left made a big mistake. They thought that accusing President Trump of colluding with Russia would undermine his presidency and give them some shoe-in wins in the midterms. It’s rare for a plan to backfire so completely. The investigation has only served to prove that Trump had no direct involvement with Russia.
It has also uncovered overwhelming corruption within the FBI. It has tainted the Democratic Party to its roots, and they’re in danger of losing ground this fall — something that rarely happens after one party wins the House, Senate and Presidency. Until now, Obama has hid behind walls of plausible deniability. Those walls are crumbling, and he is sweating bullets.
The Steele Dossier
It’s common knowledge that Hillary Clinton’s campaign paid for the dossier. It’s also well known that the FBI and courts used it as the only strong evidence to get a judge to sign off on conducting surveillance on Trump’s campaign. By extension of basic logic, anyone who isn’t blinded by misguided faith in Obama has already assumed that he at least knew about all of this in real time.
More than likely, he was the master puppeteer pulling the strings. Well, assumption will no longer be the stopping point. Nunez has taken direct action to investigate Obama’s personal involvement in this debacle, and he already has strong leads. He has sent letters, requests and summons to a number of major players to try and ascertain exactly how deep the corruption ran.
Chief among Nunez’s leads is Shailagh Murray. If you aren’t familiar with her, she is a journalist who served as a senior advisor to Obama. She was also on Joe Biden’s staff. A tidbit that might be worth noting is that she is married to Neil King, a major player at Fusion GPS. You see, King worked at the Wall Street Journal with Glenn Simpson, Peter Fritsch and Tom Catan. They were the co-founders of Fusion GPS, and they hired King to join their ranks in 2016.
For anyone who doesn’t feel like playing detective today, this is a direct communication link between Obama himself and the people who funded and supplied the Steele Dossier. Obama’s plausible deniability is at an end. A direct investigation is now looking to prove that Obama was in the know.
What does this mean for the big picture? It would show that Obama manipulated FISA courts and the criminal justice departments to spy on a political opponent. Proving this connection verifies that Obama committed a “Watergate 2,” and it brings full into the light the true depths of his corruption. Politically, it wouldn’t change much, but it annihilates the last shreds of Obama’s credibility and sincerely hurts the Democratic Party.
FBI
Unfortunately for 44, this isn’t the extent of his woes. A separate investigation is looking into corruption in the FBI in particular. Take a stroll down memory lane. You remember how weird it was when Comey publicly announced that Hillary wouldn’t be charged. The whole thing was so awkward, unprecedented and forced that anyone with a functioning brain could tell something was amiss. Comey doubling down on strange announcements and the leak of overwhelmingly biased FBI agent text messages only solidified the nation’s doubts.
In the wake of it all, FBI probes are looking beyond individual agents. They are now ascertaining how directly former President Obama was involved in the rampant corruption and clear miscarriages of justice. Remember: these events happened in tandem with record numbers of pardons. Within a two-year span, the FBI also dropped the ball on investigating massive missing funds from the Clinton Foundation and the entire State Department made shady deals to sign our uranium over to Russia. Without the heroic efforts of groups like WikiLeaks, we may have never known a fraction of this. Now, the culmination of problems is too much for Obama to keep hiding.
Congress is on the trail, and we all know where it leads. It’s unlikely that Obama would ever face true justice for his crimes, but fully revealing the truth is still an important step in making America better. The left still praises Obama. Many sincerely wanted to overrule presidential term limits for him. While many will hide from the truth, Americans need to see the full extent of his corruption. That is the only way we can move forward and put the taint of the Obama era behind us.
