Obama Immigration Doctors Put Citizens At Risk

Barack Obama allowed a significant number of migrants to enter the U.S. with dangerous contagious health conditions due to his administration’s careless oversight of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Department.

The hiring of a number of civil surgeons who had black marks on their record that should have disqualified them caused this. Added to the problem is legitimate doctors and Immigration Services Officers who failed to check forms for bogus entries and blank boxes that allowed affected migrants to slip through.

The mainstream media have reported the story of the Inspector General’s report that detailed the matter, most with one omission in common. The IG report ended with the sentence:

“USCIS could also be exposing the U.S. population to contagious or dangerous health conditions from foreign nationals erroneously granted lawful permanent resident status.”

Most edited out the last nine words – “erroneously granted lawful permanent resident status.”

CNN, MSNBC, and others focused on how bad doctors placed immigrants at risk. What they failed to report was that failed Obama policy allowed unvetted illegal immigrants to be granted permanent US residence without being screened for infectious diseases. A policy that allowed ten of thousands to enter this country with everything from measles to Tuberculosis to worse.

According to the IG’s report, Obama’s people allowed and then told no one they had put the population of our country at risk due to incompetence and lax oversight. According to the report:

“USCIS is not properly vetting the physicians it designates to conduct required medical examinations of these foreign nationals… It has designated physicians with a history of patient abuse or a criminal record. This is occurring because USCIS does not have policies to ensure only suitable physicians are designated.”

The report also notes that USCIS Immigration Services Officers accepted inaccurate and incomplete forms because they were not properly trained and USCIS didn’t enforce its own policies.

Failure to prove vaccination for conditions like Hepatitis and Polio means automatic refusal for entry according to federal law. Along with that were mental or physical disorders “associated with harmful behavior” or drug abuse.

The IG reported that the USCIS could not verify that civil surgeons screened foreign entrants and may have granted “permanent lawful residence to foreign nationals who could pose a health risk to the US population.”

By analyzing the statistics the IG report shows “330,000 of 1,558,031 adjustment of status applications” had incomplete or inaccurate medical forms.

The civil surgeons in question were hired under “extremely lax” terms that would have disqualified them for practice elsewhere in the country. Officials interviewing physicians often checked the status of physicians’ medical license with no further background check.

Some civil surgeons had “racked up convictions related to fraud, patient abuse, and neglect.” One doctor in Georgia, for instance, attempted to pay for a hit on a disgruntled patient. The doctor in question had his license revoked by medical boards in California, Texas, and Pennsylvania. Georgia had allowed him to resume work.

According to the IG: “Another doctor had a history of sexual misconduct with female patients. The Texas Medical Board restricted his license for five years, and not allowed him to be alone with women while conducting physical exams.”

Another doctor had been disciplined in California for allowing her assistants to use substandard needles for injections and falsify medical records.

At least 132 of the over 500 civil surgeons could “pose health or safety risks.”

The Agency has promised to implement a more rigorous process for vetting civil surgeon with stricter eligibility requirements.

NPR correctly reported: “After auditing the records from October 2013, to June 2017, the Inspector General found that the agency “lacked strong policies as officers made decisions about doctors who had applied to become what the department calls civil surgeons.”

From there, its focus was solely on bad doctors and helpless immigrants. Though more even-handed than CNN and others NPR virtually ignored that the officials and doctors in question were put in place predominantly by the Obama administration including holdovers during Trump’s first year in office.’

Lee Cissna, the current head of USCIS agrees with the OIG saying, “further actions are needed to enhance the medical admissibility screening process and is already taking these actions.”

The question now is, will the American people be protected from diseases that have been under control in this country for years. And will the press ever quit protecting their chosen one, Barack Obama?
