Obama Only Angry at Russia when Dems are Affected

Long before the Russian hacking narrative went public, Barack Obama had mocked those who took up the McCarthyist tone making claims about the danger of the Russian agenda, spouting mistrust of the former communist state. He directly poked fun at Mitt Romney during the 2012 election cycle when Romney warned about the danger of being overly friendly with our former cold war enemy. Obama, laughingly suggested that such a sentiment was outmoded, passe, and old hat.

This was some time before the DNC and the mainstream media re-stoked the fire of anti-Russian thought for purely political purposes during the previous presidential election. Earlier this year we learned that the NSA, under the direction of Obama himself, was appealing to the FISA court for a warrant to tap Donald Trump’s phones (spy on Trump so to speak), and that their rationale for the request was information taken from a Trump Tower computer that could have only been obtained by illegal hacking. But nobody seems to mind about that.

Today, after the Project Veritas videos exposing CNN for falsely pushing the Russian narrative story in which a producer, and others, admit that the story is a “Nothingburger,” we know that the entire scandal is fabricated. But with that knowledge, we can now look back on the behavior of former President Obama during his final weeks in the White House and see a new level of mendacity that until today we, perhaps, only suspected.

It was a tense three months, more or less, during which time we were waiting for Trump to take office and Barack Obama was using his final days of power to foist accusations against the Russians, and their President, Vladamir Putin. He blatantly accused Putin of hacking the election, among other things, expelled Russian diplomats from the US, moved American military assets closer to the western Russian border and employed a great deal of cold war-style rhetoric.

Public sentiment at the time was split between those who believed Putin would remain calm and simply wait for the friendlier Trump administration to take office and those who expected a nuclear exchange to break out. Those on the more conspiratorial side of the conservative perspective believed that, after Hillary’s loss, it was the Establishment’s last ditch effort to get the hot war that it wanted.

Today, there is very little disagreement among sensible people that a nuclear war with Russia would have been all but a certainty in the event that Hillary should have taken the White House instead of Donald Trump.

But Russia is far from the innocent victim of a lot of Democrat grandstanding and blame placement. Russia has been responsible for a great deal of untoward dealing and human rights abuses- as every nation-state has. But Obama was conspicuously silent about them until December the 29th of 2016.

When Russia committed human rights violations, Obama did nothing. When Putin took pages out of Joseph Stalin’s playbook, Obama had nothing to say. When Russia invaded and conquered a portion of Georgia Obama shrugged his shoulders and played another round of golf. When Russia invaded Crimea, the 44th president made no response. When Russia invaded Iraq, President Obama imposed minimal sanctions. That’s our sandbox after all.

But, when Russia was supposed to have attacked the Democratic Party in the United States- look out- President Obama took notice and imposed the strongest sanctions yet.

Buried deep in paragraph 90-something of the New York Times was the reason Obama waited so long to cast judgment on Putin’s dealings. The reason he waited so long to condemn Russia was he feared that by doing so it would cast the coming Clinton Presidency into a bad light. In other words, Obama was more concerned about the Clinton legacy than he was about justice or the victims of Russian misdeeds.

Obama was confident that Hillary Clinton was going to win the election, and he was deeply concerned about her performance, her approval rating, and whatever reasons he had such an interest in the second Clinton administration we can only guess at. But it is clear that Obama’s behavior regarding the misdeeds of Russia have been entirely politically motivated.

Today, the Russian hacking narrative has become totally inoperative, proven false, and utterly exploded. And as a result, everything that was done to pursue the issue is revealed to be false, deceptive, and done purely in the interest of powers and entities that stand behind both the Clintons and the Obamas- whether that is simply the DNC or something more global in nature.
