The left has so much to complain about that many of their own messages get lost in the commotion. That was the case this past week. While they were whining about Proud Boys and fires in the Amazon, an important change happened to federal assistance programs.
In short, Planned Parenthood just suffered a huge blow, and no one is talking about it. In a financial sense, this may not be the biggest news of all time, but many on the right will probably consider this story to be one of President Trump’s greatest achievements.
The Claim
Pro-abortionists and supporters of Planned Parenthood have long championed the organization as a healthcare provider for poor women. Without Planned Parenthood, how will women get pap smears or breast exams? This is about cancer screening! You’ve heard this plenty of times.
Well, those arguments just died. Planned Parenthood was given an option, and they made a clear choice. They are far more interested in providing for-profit abortion services than providing real healthcare to women in need.
We’ll break down how this choice came to be, but it’s important to understand one thing through all of this. Despite what all of the leftist propaganda will say, Planned Parenthood made the choice all on their own.

Now, let’s talk about President Trump. Plenty of times in his term, he’s had to get around a stonewalling Congress and find unique solutions to problems. The reason illegal border crossings are in decline is because he used tariffs to force Mexico to police the border. That’s some advanced negotiation. Considering that, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to learn about how he just took down Planned Parenthood.
This all goes back to Title X. If you aren’t familiar, this is a program that the federal government uses to provide financial assistance to low-income Americans. It covers a lot of stuff, but what we’re concerned with today is health care. Title X is the mechanism through which Planned Parenthood is reimbursed when they provide free health care to women.
Now, technically, it was already illegal for Title X funds to reimburse abortion services. That would constitute using federal tax dollars to provide an abortion. Despite that, Planned Parenthood has found countless loopholes to get around that law.
President Trump simplified this whole thing. Since Congress was unwilling to take any steps, he used executive authority to change some of the rules pertaining to Title X. The changes are entirely legal, and they are well within his purview. Basically, President Trump made it so that any organization that promotes abortion as part of its services cannot stay in Title X.
The Devastating Choice
If we boil it down, the President forced a simple but important choice on Planned Parenthood. They could give up on promoting abortion, or they could give up on providing “free” health care to women.
They chose the latter, and by doing so, they made it abundantly clear that they care more about abortion services than cancer screening. By their own decision, they are no longer a means to help struggling women. They’re an abortion service, and that’s it.
The most important thing to understand about this whole situation is that Planned Parenthood was not denied Title X status. They elected to leave the program. They could have fought against the new rules. They could have invoked all manner of support from the rabid left. There’s a fair chance those efforts might have forced the President to revert the changes. They did none of that. When their ideology was put to the test, they gave us an honest answer. Planned Parenthood, by their own admission, cares about abortions more than women.
You aren’t surprised. Leftists never disappoint when their convictions are tested. But, this is great news for our country. The biggest provider of abortions in the nation no longer has unrestricted access to poor, struggling, impressionable women.
If you want a murder service in one of their clinics, you have to pay full price. It’s a long way from correcting one of the greatest sins in the history of humanity, but it’s a big step forward, and we owe it all to the strategic brilliance of President Trump.
