President Trump’s Innovative Idea to Put Americans Back to Work

Donald Trump started setting the stage to create jobs, (bring jobs back to the U.S. to be more precise), long before he was even inaugurated. By some standards, you could say that he has been at it all his life- by establishing himself as a shrewd businessman with a penchant for making big things happen and making great deals.

Since he walked onto to political scene, he has made it clear that he is going to offer incentives for businesses to bring jobs back to the country, and punish those who try to profit in the U.S. while selling American workers down the river.

So doing, he brought jobs back to the country by simply posturing as a politician who was serious about making a difference for the American worker- possibly for the first time since Andrew Jackson- and he’s made gains that other presidents could only pretend to dream of.

But now the Make America Great Again president is looking at a new way to bring jobs back to our struggling economy- and it’s as innovative as he is.

Even as the Left drones on about its bogus Russian hacking claims, Trump is working on a creative new way to restore the working class. The plan is to set up apprentice programs. He recognizes that as the economy started bleeding jobs decades ago, and a lot of workers have missed out on critical opportunities to receive training in their desired trades. Trump’s new proposal would bring even more people into the workforce than his current plans are already doing, and fill in stubborn gaps that might be impossible, or too expensive, to fill otherwise.

Trump’s new job training initiative will be directed at the millions of workers who require training and who are unlikely to get it in a traditional classroom. For many people, going to school is not an option. They need to gain an income in the short term- and cannot afford to wade through a long-term training program.

These are young people with families, those whose jobs have been made obsolete by technology and the titanic shifts in the job market over the last 20 years. These are people who look at the idea of taking a massive loan as an insurmountable burden that they cannot afford- and many of them would not even qualify for loans- due to the lack of programs available for non-minority citizens.

The idea is in its infancy and lacks serious backing at the moment. Critics have complained that the plan is devoid of important details that would make it work. But the complaints are premature, and such a program would be a long-term effort to create lasting opportunity for an underserved section of the population- the working class living primarily in the “fly-over” states.

This week, Trump delivered a speech at a technical college located in Waukesha WI. He also delivered a policy speech at the Department of Labor. There, he discussed topics central to the mandate which drove his success in last year’s presidential election- bringing back jobs, focusing on the needs of Americans first and restoring prosperity to the country.

He has also met with several governors from states where he would like to kick off the apprenticeship programs at the White House. The details of those meetings have not been released.

All of this is a breath of fresh air for those who voted for Trump on the hopes that he would be the first president in many decades to actually keep his promises.

However, he still has an uphill battle ahead of him as obstructionist Democrats continue to block his initiatives with everything they have at their disposal. Many hopeful Trump supporters are looking on with great anticipation as the left continues to block progress on the wall, stymie the immigration ban, poison his attempts to drain the swamp, and drag their heels on every issue he champions.

There remains a distinct possibility that Trump’s time in office will result in essentially a failed presidency- with the leftist factions who are fighting progress chomping at the bit to blame Donald Trump and the populist movement behind him for failing to deliver.

We are either entering into a second golden age for the nation, of just another four to eight years of what the left likes to call a “Nothing Burger.”

By now, we can see that Trump is serious about restoring the middle class and returning respectableness to our nation. But he is going to need a great deal of support from the people just to overcome the noise of the obstructionists.
