Proof John McCain Is a RINO! Look What We Just Found Out He Did to Conservatives

It has been said for a long time that John McCain is a RINO and newly obtained internal IRS documents reveal just how entrenched he is in that mindset.

Due to these documents, obtained by Judicial Watch, we now know that Henry Kerner, Senator McCain’s former staff director and chief counsel on the Senate Homeland Security Permanent Subcommittee, urged top IRS officials to “audit so many [Tea Party groups] that it becomes financially ruinous.”

McCain has forged a career with the image of being seen as a “maverick” by the mainstream media. To those in the know of the right, he is little more than an egotistical blowhard who relishes in being a thorn in the side of his own party.

Since the media and too few voters have done little to monitor the issue in question, some history is needed.

The Democrat party took a shellacking in the 2010 midterm elections leading to the White House, IRS, and Department of Justice to do some post-election “corrections.” The answer they come up with was to weaponize the IRS with directions to target conservative tea party groups. Though he later vehemently denied it, John McCain supported the effort.

In 2013, former director of the Exempt Organizations Unit of the IRS, Lois Lerner admitted under duress that the IRS did indeed have a policy of deliberately delaying applications for tax-exempt status from conservative non-profit groups.

After Lerner’s resignation due to the scandal, Judicial Watch reported that John McCain was directly involved with the politicization of the IRS. The Senator responded by issuing a statement that decried, “false reports claiming that his office was somehow involved in IRS targeting of conservative groups.”

What McCain rubber-stamped was no minor thing for the IRS to do. According to official records, the IRS sent the FBI “21 disks constituting a 1.1 million page database of information from 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organizations, to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”

In February of 2013, while McCain remained silent it was of all people, Maxine Water who told journalist Roland Martin:

“The President has put in place an organization with the kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life. That’s going to be very, very powerful. That database will have information about everything on every individual on ways that it’s never been done before and whoever runs for President on the Democratic ticket has to deal with that. They’re going to go down with that database and the concerns of those people because they can’t get around it. And he’s [Obama] been very smart. It’s very powerful what he’s leaving in place.”

There can be little doubt what the motives were for amassing tax records and then targeting Tea Party groups with that information and why John McCain encouraged it.

The party leadership of both sides was in full alignment with the Obama administration in their goal of removing a mutual threat – the Tea Party. McConnell, McCain, Hatch, Graham, Cornyn, Corker and others opted to do anything to get rid of the challenge to their political dominance.

John McCain is a symbol of what’s wrong in Washington. As Tom Fitton, President of Judicial Watch said: “The Obama IRS scandal is bipartisan – McCain and Democrats who wanted to regulate political speech lost at the Supreme Court, so they sought to use the IRS to harass innocent Americans.”

When one realizes how long it took for Judicial Watch to obtain information that supposedly was covered under The Freedom of Information act it becomes evident why those 1.1 million documents were hand delivered to Attorney General Eric Holder via CD-Rom rather than electronic data transfer. None of the players involved, including McCain, wanted the effort to make the light of day to the public.

Both Democrats and Republicans gained from the targeting the Tea Party and other oppositional forces. At the same time, Mitch McConnell, John McCain and other the Republican leadership organized a strategy to work around their financial dependency on the electorate with Super-PACs.

When Obamacare was on the ropes and Vice President Pence cast the tie-breaking vote to bring Obamacare back to the floor for debate, John McCain made a dramatic appearance after a stay in the hospital to counter Pence’s vote.

A major plank of the platform supported by candidate Donald Trump helped maintain GOP majorities in both houses. True to form, McCain sabotaged the effort.
