The Biggest Bombshells from the IG Report’s on the FBI (What the Mainstream Media Isn’t Telling You)

The Inspector General released the report from his official probe into the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign. Michael Horowitz was tasked with investigating the origins of the Russia probe. He was supposed to see if the FBI played by the rules and if their efforts were justified.

If you’ve read anything on this story from CBS, MSNBC, NBC, CNN or the other mainstream news, they’ll have told you that Horowitz just cleared the FBI of any wrongdoing. That’s about as dishonestly as you could possibly read this report.

The IG actually found massive problems in his investigation, and they’re all laid out in the public report. These are the worst offenses that you won’t get from the mainstream media.

Carter Page

The report found problems everywhere, but one of the most specific areas of focus was the investigation of Carter Page. Horowitz stuck to the narrative that the problems were born of incompetence rather than malice (which we’ll get into in a minute). Regardless, he showed that the FBI outright fabricated evidence to pursue warrants in their investigation of Page.

This fabricated evidence was used again later to expand the investigation, and ultimately it served as the backbone of launching the Mueller probe. Basically, there was no credible evidence to go after Page in the first place, and that is a huge violation committed by multiple members of the FBI.

It’s worth noting that this was worse for Carter Page than anyone else. Paul Manafort is a slightly different story.

The first pieces of evidence that led to his investigation came out of Ukraine. Even the Ukrainian government has ruled that the leaking of that evidence was illegal, but the simple fact is that Manafort was taking dirty money from foreign entities. That fact may have been illegally leaked to the FBI, but once done, that particular investigation was much more justifiable than what was done to Carter Page.

You should not let the left twist this fact. Manafort’s wrongdoing was not sufficient to justify investigations into more people who had nothing to do with it. In fact, Manafort was acting on his own behalf, and this is why the FBI had to lie on warrant applications to go after Page. The left will try to confuse you on this fact.

There Was Clear Bias

This is the real heart of the matter. There’s a line in the IG report that reads, “We did not find documentary or testimonial evidence that political bias or improper motivation influenced the FBI’s decision.” Obviously, mainstream media has parroted this everywhere, and they’re using this single line to claim that there were no fouls anywhere.

There are a few problems with this notion. For starters, Horowitz didn’t investigate intent in the FBI process. The scope of his report was only to investigate procedure. In that vein, he did not find that FBI procedure was biased against any of its targets. This means Horowitz had to ignore things like the damning string of tweets between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. He had to ignore tons of other evidence, because it didn’t pertain to procedure. Procedurally speaking, according to Horowitz, the FBI was incompetent but not biased or malicious.

In reality, there was already a body of evidence indicating bias, and the IG report makes a note of this. Horowitz specifically highlighted that higher ups in the FBI were deeply disturbed that Strzok and Page were ranking members in the investigation because their biases were well known throughout the bureau.

It’s Missing a Lot

The IG report was very bad for the FBI, but the absolutely most important thing to understand is that it wasn’t an exhaustive investigation. It was never supposed to be. Horowitz was given a narrow directive.

He still seems to have dramatically underrepresented problems of bias in the FBI, but that doesn’t matter as much as the left wants you to think it does. Primarily, that’s because two other investigations are currently taking place.

The most important of them is being run directly by Attorney General William Barr. His report is not ready yet, but he already went on record to starkly disagree with Horowitz’s summary of non-bias. In other words, Barr has a lot of dirt, and we’ll get to see it all before long.

Let’s recap the gist of all of this. Horowitz reported that he found clear cases of FBI agents fabricating evidence in order to go after President Trump and his team. That is not in question. Mainstream media is mostly ignoring this fact, but even they aren’t dumb enough to try and contradict it.

Horowitz downplayed the bias and malice tied to the FBI investigations, but all of that is likely to be covered by the AG report. This is already bad for the FBI and the left, and it’s only going to get worse from here.
