The Democratic Party is Guilty of Money Laundering

Perhaps one of the reasons why the Democratic Party is so adamant about raising taxes is the fact that they funnel so much of that money back into their own coffers. While this may sound shocking and highly illegal, the reality is that it’s been going on right under our noses – and when the Republican Congress had a chance to put an end to it, they caved.

Let’s take a look at what we’re talking about. Every effective money laundering operation needs an organization to run their funds through, turning dirty money into clean, legitimate funds. For the Democratic Party, that organization is Planned Parenthood.

Recently, Planned Parenthood announced that it would be funding a comprehensive new initiative to unseat Republicans at both the state and federal level. This new initiative has been described as the “largest ground game in history” and will include door-knocking, advertising, and more on the Democratic Party’s behalf.

But Planned Parenthood isn’t stopping there – they also intend to continue with the $20 million dollar political advertising campaign that they launched a few months ago as well.

If Planned Parenthood was an entirely private-funded organization, this type of political activism wouldn’t be as much of a problem. However, Planned Parenthood is not an entirely private-funded organization. In fact, they receive $500 million a year in taxpayer money.

So let’s recap: The Democratic Party fights to keep taxes high and keep Planned Parenthood federally funded. In turn, Planned Parenthood takes the tax dollars that they receive and spends massive portions of the money campaigning on behalf of Democratic candidates all over the country.

In other words, next time you go to pay taxes, just keep in mind that not only is a portion of your money going to kill unborn children, it’s also going to fund Democratic candidates. If that isn’t enough to outrage you, we don’t know what is.

The bad news is, though, that it apparently wasn’t enough to outrage our Republican Congress. When Sen. Rand Paul proposed an amendment to defund Planned Parenthood last August, the amendment was voted down in the Senate by a vote of 45-48. When you consider the fact that the GOP holds a majority in the Senate – albeit a narrow one – this rejection is infuriating.

Granted, Sen. Paul’s amendment would have needed 60 votes to pass, making it a long shot right from the start. However, it would have been encouraging to at least see every Senate Republican enthusiastically vote yes on a bill that would stop federal funds from being used to kill unborn children and fund Democratic candidates. If Republicans can’t rally around that cause, what cause can they rally around?

Proponents of Planned Parenthood will argue that the federal funds they receive go towards women’s health and are not used to fund abortions or political activism. This is a nonsensical argument, though. While it’s true that Planned Parenthood is not able to directly use the taxpayer money they receive to fund abortions and their political activism, money is too liquid to logically separate in this manner.

For example, if you have $100 and are given $100 with the stipulation that you can’t spend it on clothing, you’re still able to spend your original $100 on clothing and put the money you received toward other items.

In the end, the fact that the exact bills you received weren’t spent on clothing is nothing but a technicality. Taxpayer money that goes to Planned Parenthood is all put into the same pool, and just like water in a pool, it all blends together and becomes impossible to separate.

This is how the Democratic Party is able to get away with the most large-scale money laundering operation in the nation, funneling mass amounts of taxpayer dollars back into their own pockets. While sickening, this operation isn’t illegal – Planned Parenthood has taken advantage of the loopholes they’ve been given in order to pull this scam off in a way that is completely legal.

The only way to put an end to the Democratic Party’s money laundering scheme is to defund Planned Parenthood. Unfortunately, that’s something that our Republican officials seem bewilderingly hesitant to do.
