If we’ve said it once, we’ll say it 1000 times – President Trump has done more for black Americans than any other president in the history of the nation short of Abraham Lincoln. Anyone who has a problem with that fact needs to have their head and their heart checked for Trump Derangement Syndrome.
By now, we’ve all heard about the shameful smears the Left has leveraged against the President over his comments on Baltimore. That city has been badly run for decades. Crime and violence are through the roof, and those responsible are the criminals on the street and the criminal Democrats who have been in charge of that city for all these long years and done nothing to change things.
What Trump said was that the parts of the city in question are “rat infested.” CNN’s newest fake new anchor, Victor Blackwell, pretended to cry on air and defend the city as his home town saying that Trump used the word “infested” to describe black and brown people. This is despicable behavior, and the entire Washington Democrat contingent is complicit in this type of lying.
But the truth on the ground in the city of Baltimore is that black people, families, mothers, fathers, and children are suffering at the hands of opportunistic criminals both high and low. They are at the mercy of officials who refuse to enforce the law and opportunistic criminals who are too eager to eek out a shabby existence from crime and depravity.
The city has been an open cesspit for almost half a century. People have been commenting on the rat infested trash heaps, the dilapidated buildings, the endless crime, and the shame of it all for a very long time. The only thing that the President did wrong was to say the same things that Democrats and Republicans have been saying about the city all this time, but to say it while being Trump.
Now, the President is receiving a tsunami of support from black people living in Baltimore who know first hand that their local Democrat leaders and Maryland’s Congressional Representative, Elijah Cummings, are not looking out for them.
You’ve got to give the Devil his due, and we’ll say this- the Democrats and the wingnut media are very good at what they do- spinning and lying. They have taken the fact that members of their party are responsible for the deplorable conditions in Baltimore and spun to fit their “Trump is a racist” narrative.
The reason this is in the news is that the President used Baltimore’s condition as ammunition against Rep. Cummings. Trump tweeted, “Rep. Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous.”
He continued his remarks, “His district is considered the Worst in the USA as proven last week during a Congressional tour, the Border is clean, efficient & well run, just very crowded. Cumming [sic] District is a disgusting, rat, and rodent-infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could clean up this very dangerous & filthy mess.”
“Why is so much money sent to the Elijah Cummings district when it is considered the worst run and most dangerous anywhere in the United States. No human being would want to live there. Where is all this money going? How much is stolen? Investigate this corrupt mess immediately,” demanded President Trump.
Here’s something you can take to the bank: when Democrats start slinging mud it’s because they are sitting in it. Trump called them out on corruption and for stealing resources that should be going to improve living conditions in Baltimore. He called for investigations into what he referred to as theft and corruption.
Trump may be bombastic. Right now, we need a bombastic truth teller because the truth is bombastic. But he knows money. He knows how money flows through the hands of players, both good and bad. So, when he sees the amount of money going into Baltimore and then sees the fact that the citizens of that historic city are living in absolute squalor- he knows that funds are being misappropriated.
In other words, Trump smells a rat.
This morning, the President spoke to the press on the White House lawn before stepping onto Air Force One. He said, “Those people are living in hell in Baltimore. They really appreciate what I’m doing, and they’ve let me know it.”
The people of Baltimore know the truth, and so does the President.
