The Boston Globe has hilariously called on all journalistic outlets in America to write anti-Trump editorials this coming week. Talk about pulling off the journalistic equivalent of a reverse one-and-and-half back flip with four-and-a-half twists from the 10-meter Olympic diving board!
Okay, it’s not quite that difficult, but this coordinated exercise in fake newsery will still be hard. The technical journalistic term for this maneuver is “every single week since June 16, 2015.” Surely, the reporters, anchors and pundits believe, this time it will be Trump’s undoing when every single news outlet bashes him.
Perhaps they can convince Little Ben Shapiro to take a break from defending pro-pedophile Disney directors to write another column about how Donald Trump disgusts him. Maybe Bill Kristol will chime in with an offer to reduce the price of his next cruise package on the Good Ship Never Trump. Those media-approved voices of True Conservatism will add an extra special layer of credibility to the exercise. Donald Trump is finished! There’s no way he could hold up under the pressure of having every news outlet speak out against him!
These media geniuses still don’t get it. When they falsely attack and defame our president, they are attacking every single one of us “deplorables” who voted for him as well. They’re upset that President Trump accurately refers to them as the enemy of the American people. So, what is their solution to counter this characterization which they claim is unfair? To present themselves as a unified enemy of the people! Brilliant! Just keep doing what you’re doing, guys!
Keep censoring Alex Jones and Infowars while you’re at it. That’s not backfiring spectacularly, either. Ever since Facebook, Apple, Google and Spotify de-platformed the pro-Trump Infowars, it’s been gaining new followers faster than the NRA. It’s too bad we don’t have a great acronym to refer to the Facebook, Apple, Google, Spotify alliance. (Steve Sailer at Unz Review gets credit for that joke.)
A writer at Salon was lamenting the reach of Alex Jones the other day and claimed that the reason why Infowars was able to grow so popular was because “we” – meaning liberals – have been too tolerant of other news outlets that “lie,” such as Fox News. Because if there’s one thing liberals are known for, it’s their boundless tolerance for Fox News! Liberals have such a devil-may-care, live-and-let-live attitude toward Fox News that you wouldn’t even realize they’re in the waiting room at the doctor’s office with you if you switched the channel from CNN.
The idea behind Fox News was revolutionary. Reporters were required to approach the news as if they did not hate America and did not view their audience as stupid. What a concept! And as it turns out, there was a market for a news station that reports in that fashion!
As a result, Democrats have spent the last 22 years trying to pull every dirty trick in the book to take Fox News off the air, censor it, de-platform it or destroy it. They tried to pass the Fairness Doctrine in Congress, which would have forced Fox to put a blithering liberal idiot on air for every hour that regular Fox News hosts were on air.
They tried to prop up Air America radio to counteract Fox, as if there was a market for a 24-hour liberal talk radio station when liberals already had a near-monopoly with CNN, MSNBC, PBS and the rest of the alphabet networks. So, Air America tanked as a result of another one of their brilliant, “Hey, let’s do the exact same thing all over again because it will work this time” ideas. You know, like socialism. Although it was illuminating to listen to the Air America hosts talk about their plans to reduce poverty in America by sterilizing all black and Hispanic babies at birth.
The big irony of course is that aside from Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and a couple of other hosts, Fox News is not that much different from CNN on issues like trade and open borders. But because they are unwilling to allow any dissent on any medium, liberals still want to destroy Fox. So what if it destroys the careers of dozens of likeminded liberal journalists in the process? Tucker Carlson has hate facts that the American people must never hear!
Our Fast Times at Ridgemont High media has so little short-term memory, however, that they will continue trying to do the same thing over and over again – like this upcoming coordinated media attack on President Trump.
We’ve obtained an exclusive transcript, by the way, of the reporters’ meeting when they decided to launch their next Shock and Awe campaign against Trump. (Thanks, Omarosa!) Here it is:
Reporter 1: “Hey, man… I just… Yeah, I just had an idea, man.”
Reporter 2: “Cool. Pass me the bong.”
Reporter 1: “Oh, sorry man, here it is. Hey, Wolf, where was I?”
Reporter 2: “You had an idea, Anderson.”
Reporter 1: “Oh, right, right. Well, I was thinkin’, Trump is like super popular with everyone, right?”
Reporter 2: *Cough, Cough, Cough* (Nods head.)
Reporter 1: “So, like, it’s obvious. We’ve all just been too nice to Trump up until this point. But what if we all like, gang up on him at once and write negative, anti-Trump commentaries at the same time?”
Reporter 2: “Whoa. That idea is like, so crazy it just might work!”
And then, when next Saturday rolls around, reporters will start passing the bong around and completely forget that they’ve spent the past 1,150 days straight writing and broadcasting wall-to-wall negative coverage of our president. They’ll rinse, repeat, incite more violence against us, call for more Days of Rage from Antifa and then scratch their heads in confusion when we call them out on their seditious behavior.
We’re not asking the media to write glowing reports of Trump or to treat him like Obama, who was so fragile due to his race that he could never be criticized on any issue. Just be fair to Trump. But no, that’s too much to ask!
This is why President Trump drives the media absolutely batty. He can’t be silenced. His Twitter mojo is too powerful for them. This is also why we as Americans should never, ever submit to the tender mercies of our would-be Democrat executioners. They want Donald Trump silenced because that would be silencing your voice as well. We’ve played that game for 30 years and we’re not going to play it any longer. It’s our turn to win.
