Trump is Right, the U.S. Must Cut Ties with Crooked W.H.O.

The United States far and away delivers the most financial support to the World Health Organization. Still, its leaders stabbed America in the back by playing the puppet for China’s communist party.

In 2017 the U.S. gave W.H.O $400 million. In 2019, we gave them over $900 million. This year, so far, U.S. funding has exceeded $57 million, more than double that of China, and more than four times the aid provided by any European nation.

But when the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, China, began, W.H.O. leaders proliferated the communist party’s false narrative. They didn’t bother to get facts about how easily transmitted COVID-19 was and the certainty it would reach pandemic proportions.

Numerous reports indicate that on Dec. 30, Chinese doctor Li Wenliang sounded the alarm that a SARS-like contagion was loose, and a substantial outbreak was imminent. Organizations such as the W.H.O. are tasked with relying on credible researchers such as Li. But the communist regime summarily arrested him for spreading false rumors and “disrupted public order”. He was tossed in a black hole.

Within weeks, Chinese doctors and scientists could no longer deny the outbreak was growing in Wuhan. That’s when W.H.O. director-general Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus flew to China. Rather than get facts directly from researchers, he took the communist propagandists at their word, or rather lies.

He parroted the party’s false narrative that there was “no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel coronavirus.” He betrayed every nation by then praising the communist regime for “setting a new standard for outbreak control,” and an “openness for sharing information.” Nothing could be further from the truth.

His break away from scientific protocol into political back-scratching has cost tens of thousands their lives.

“The fog of war obscures much about the novel coronavirus pandemic. But two facts seem absolutely certain. First, China’s Communist authorities have lied, concealed, and misled about the origins of the epidemic and the toll of the virus in China. Second, the World Health Organization has acted as Beijing’s handmaid,” the New York Post reportedly stated.

President Trump was never so right to put America First and move the country back to complete and total self-reliance. As Americans fight COVID-19 and die in critical care units, this suffering could have been blunted had the W.H.O done their job and sounded the alarm back in December. American patriots are now rallying to sever all ties with the W.H.O., a long-overdue move.

“In the next appropriations bill, there’s not going to be any money for the W.H.O. I’m in charge of the appropriations subcommittee. I’m not going to support funding the W.H.O. under its current leadership. They’ve been deceptive, they’ve been slow, and they’ve been Chinese apologists,” South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham reportedly said.

“I don’t think they’re a good investment, under the current leadership, for the United States. And until they change their behavior and get new leadership, I think it’s in America’s best interests to withhold funding.”

American taxpayers are already spending $6.594 billion to fund the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Approximately $730 million reportedly goes to immunization and respiratory diseases, and another $457 million is used to monitor global disease proliferation. China’s communist regime reportedly blocked CDC officials from first-hand research early in the COVID-19 outbreak.

Leaders such as Japan’s deputy prime minister Taro Aso officially started calling the W.H.O. the “Chinese Health Organization” after mimicking the communist party line that the contagion was “preventable and controllable.”

The time of outsourcing manufacturing, services, medical supplies, and unreliable global organizations must come to an end. Americans can no longer trust the W.H.O. or any group that gets in bed with China.
