We Shouldn’t Have Allowed the Left to Destroy These Good Men

The good news is that the mainstream media has found a story about “Russian bots” that it finds too boring to relate to the American people. The bad news is that the fake Russian bots were funded by a Microsoft board member to destroy the candidacy of a Republican running for US Senate – Judge Roy Moore in Alabama.

Many of the conservative pundits who stood toe-to-toe with Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his Senate confirmation hearings – denouncing the lying dingbat squad falsely accusing Kavanaugh of decades-old sex crimes – threw Roy Moore under the bus when the Democrats did the exact same thing to him. At the very least, Roy Moore and some other good men who were destroyed by the lying left are owed an apology from the conservative punditocracy.

In case you’ve forgotten the Roy Moore saga from 2017, Moore was accused of sexually harassing some women and teenage girls about 50 years ago. All of the accusations were unfounded. There was no evidence that any of the women eagerly talking to reporters were telling the truth. It was their word against Moore’s from 50 years ago, and we’re supposed to believe all women so shut up you racists. Sound familiar?

But instead of vigorously fighting the accusations, Moore flubbed his response. Plus, conservatives didn’t go “Full Lindsey Graham” on the accusers or the media, which they should have.

Some of us had the guts to stand up and say that the whole thing sounds like a pile of BS, but far too many abandoned Moore over the accusations and it cost him an easy election in a deep-red state.

But! But! But! Bill O’Reilly spoke out against Roy Moore!

So? Whoop-te-do!

Google the terms “Bill O’Reilly” and “loofah” sometime if you want to learn about hypocrisy and accusations of sexual harassment. (NOTE: American Liberty Report is not responsible for any nightmares you may have after Googling the terms “Bill O’Reilly” and “loofah.”)

Roy Moore went down in defeat in December of 2017 to a Democrat in the ultra-red state of Alabama, allowing the lamestream media and the Democrats to score cheap political points against President Trump. Look how America has turned against Trump! Case closed!

Oh, except the case was not closed. One year later, we learn that the accusations against Moore were completely, 100% certified-lean horse manure, funded by a Microsoft board member. Billionaire Reid Hoffman, founder of LinkedIn, now admits that he poured $750,000 into a malicious disinformation plot against Roy Moore.

“Project Birmingham” funded the creation of approximately 1,000 fake “Russian” Twitter accounts to follow Roy Moore’s Twitter feed and spread disinformation about him. You know, like all of those stories about Moore hitting on teenagers 50 years ago?

Hoffman’s project even gave the fake Twitter accounts Russian-sounding names, so that the dumpster fire media would be sure to notice that the “Russians” were endorsing Roy Moore for Senate – while at the same time the fake Twitter accounts were praising Moore for being such a “ladies’ man” back in the 1960s.

It was all complete and utter bovine excrement and a lot of conservatives fell for it. Why? Why do they keep falling for this? It’s the same playbook every time!

Even the New York Times called Project Birmingham a “false flag,” so you know it’s bad. After he got caught, Hoffman stated, “I do owe an apology and have learned a lesson here.”

Really? What lesson is that? Don’t get caught next time?

And who do you owe an apology to? Spoiler alert: He has a name! Plus, Hoffman owes an apology to the voters of Alabama since he lives in California and meddled in another state’s election by funding fake “Russian” bots to trick people into thinking Roy Moore was some kind of pedophile. It was all false. “I do owe an apology” has be somewhere near the top of all fake non-apology apologies issued by Democrats.

Want another example?

During the crowded Republican presidential primary, one candidate managed to surge ahead of all of the other challengers. He was a successful businessman and a political outsider who had never held office before and he was running for – yikes! – President of the United States.

How did this outsider surge ahead of all the other qualified contenders? By saying he wanted to build a wall on the southern border with Mexico. He was siding with the American people over illegal aliens and he understood that a physical wall was the only way to truly protect us from the drugs, crime and Mexican rapists flooding into our country. Sounds vaguely familiar, right?

But then, the left pulled a bunch of unfounded sexual misconduct allegations out of thin air and destroyed his campaign. The candidate dropped out of the race rather than subject his family to the dirty media smears and lies about his character. Wait, what?

Yep. Totally true.

That candidate’s name was Herman Cain and he was forced out of the Republican primary in 2011 by fake sex accusations with zero evidence.

Herman Cain wanted to build a wall, shot into first place in every poll and then his campaign was wrecked because no one stood up and said, “Hey, wait a minute! This sounds exactly like the same sort of fake unfounded accusations that Democrats always throw out against Republicans.”

Five of the accusers were “anonymous,” never came forward and never offered any evidence to prove their claims. Ambulance-chasing celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred said she had talked to a woman who claimed to have had an affair with Cain. Herman Cain completely and totally denied all of the allegations against him. No one ever came forward with actual evidence against him.

The response from the supposedly minority-friendly and non-racist mainstream media was, “Well, you know how sexually aggressive those black guys are.”

Of course, Herman Cain’s campaign was derailed after Rick Perry’s campaign was derailed… over a word that was supposedly spray-painted on a rock on a piece of property where Perry had gone hunting years ago. You can’t even make this crap up. Oh, but Democrats – they can, and they do make it up. Every. Single. Time. And the media plays along.

It probably worked out in the end for conservatives because we’d be in Herman Cain’s second term by now if he hadn’t been destroyed by fake allegations. We’re going to go out on a limb and guess that Donald Trump is a better president than Herman Cain would have been. But Herman Cain didn’t deserve to have his reputation destroyed like that. Neither did Roy Moore. Anyone who stood up for Brett Kavanaugh, but didn’t stand up for Cain and Moore, owes those two good men an apology.
