West Virginia Offers an Escape Hatch to Besieged Virginians

I can’t live with all these Democrats anymore. Anyone who thinks I’m a felon who deserves to go to prison because I don’t sort my milk jugs into the proper recycling bin can no longer rightly be considered an American.

From gun-grabbing laws to bathroom confusion laws to laws that abridge my freedoms of speech, thought, religion and conscience, the only “compromise” that is possible with Democrats any longer is a compromise that reduces rights that I already have.

I’m done. And I know a lot of Americans feel the same way as I do. It seems we have three options to bring about a resolution to the current political divide.

First, one side can utterly defeat the other at the ballot box. This seems unlikely to go in my favor in the long-term, since Democrats have been bringing in foreign ringers to vote for them – often unlawfully – since 1965.

The second option would be Civil War 2.0. A lot of Americans see this as increasingly likely. I don’t really prefer that option. That runs the risk of contaminating the groundwater with the bodies of people who think that kale is a “food.”

And then there’s a third option: Let’s get a divorce!

This is a plan that could actually work. In fact, the West Virginia legislature has introduced a bill that shows how this could work. The bill is HCR 8, which was introduced on January 14, 2020. This is a bill that surprisingly hasn’t received any media attention yet – but it should.

The bill says that any city or county in Virginia that wants to become a part of West Virginia, is welcome to join them this year and say goodbye to the progressive socialists now controlling Virginia’s government. Democrats swept into power in both houses of the Virginia legislature last year, and now they are promising to stick it to pro-Trump, pro-American Virginians good and hard.

All of those stinky toothless backwater flyover hillbillies in MAGA hats who think that marriage is only possible between one man and one woman and nothin’ else are gonna get it! The Ocasio-Cortezes running the VA legislature are going to take the guns away from their political enemies, station a transgender dude in a dress in every little girls’ bathroom and provide a fully taxpayer-funded abortion clinic outside every elementary school. Because those disgusting “Americans” who think the Constitution means something deserve it.

Naturally, normal people in Virginia are alarmed at the leftwing extremism that they suddenly find themselves subjected to. Most of the counties in Virginia have already voted to become Second Amendment gun sanctuaries, and the Democrats are threatening to call in the National Guard to suppress them. In another worrying sign, the United Nations is hiring “English-speaking disarmament officers” in New York City.

HCR 8 in West Virginia offers a peaceful way to resolve these political differences without bloodshed, however. Here’s how it would work.

Cities and counties in Virginia now have until August 1, 2020 to hold a special election if they choose to. They can vote to leave Virginia and reorganize as cities or counties as part of West Virginia. That’s step one.

If any city or county votes and a majority of citizens agree to become West Virginians, those locations will be added as ballot measures in West Virginia in the General Election in November 2020. If West Virginian voters approve those measures, then voila! Those Virginia cities and counties then come under the jurisdiction of West Virginia.

The whole reason why we ended up with West Virginia as a state was because the citizens in that region felt that the faraway legislature in Richmond was neglecting and abusing their rights. So, they voted to separate from the Commonwealth of Virginia and become West Virginia in the 1860s. The same principle applies here.

We have one political party in America under President Trump that wants to increase the peace, prosperity and opportunity of all Americans, while preserving their cherished freedoms. The other party wants to subject its enemies to the legislative equivalent of a prison rape. West Virginia is now offering a great option to the Virginia citizens who are suffering from battered wife syndrome. Come join them, and West Virginia will protect the rights and freedoms endowed upon Virginians by God.

Prediction: We’re going to start seeing a lot of similar bills to HCR 8 in the coming years as the political divides in America deepen. Eastern and western Oregon are really two different states, in every possible way. So are eastern and western Washington. So is most of California and the liberal corridor between Sacramento, Pelosi’s Scat Francisco and Northern Mexico City (formerly Los Angeles). I never thought I’d say this, but you know what? Sometimes a divorce can be a good thing.
