White House Advisor Sues Rep Adam Schiff and Politico for Conspiring to Mislead the Public in Impeachment Inquiry

The most serious allegations coming out of the Democrat-led impeachment witch hunt are not necessarily U.S.-Ukraine dealings. Instead the biggest bombshells that have come out of the impeachment inquiry is about California Rep. Adam Schiff and his secret, back-room work with the media outlet Politico to turn the public against the President and one of his top advisors in regards to the impeachment inquiry.

Senior White House counterterrorism official Kash Patel is suing at Schiff and Politico, the online openly anti-Trump newspaper, in a Virginia court. The member of the U.S. National Security Council (NSC) details the unscrupulous methods used by Congressman Schiff to “weaponize the media” against President Donald Trump and other high-ranking members of the administration in his libel lawsuit against the two.

Patel previously worked as a top-tier aid to House Intelligence Committee member Rep. Devin Nunes before joining the NSC to keep the president apprised of emerging threats. The lawsuit asserts that Rep. Schiff and members of his staff knowingly and willfully disseminated false information about the Trump Administration advisor in an effort to undermine his credibility and smear his reputation.

The defamation lawsuit focuses on the coordination by Politico reporter Natasha Bertrand and publisher Robert Allbritton, among others. The civil lawsuit seeks upwards of $25 million in damages and represents a dagger to the heart of the unethical and potentially illegal collaborative methods used by Rep Adam Schiff and Politico employees against Patel.

“Defendants intentionally employed a scheme or artifice to defame Kash with the intent to undermine the President’s confidence in Kash and to further Schiff’s impeachment inquisition. Defendants acted in concert with Schiff to accomplish an unlawful purpose through unlawful means, without regard for Kash’s rights and interests,” the defamation lawsuit states.

“Defendants abandoned all journalistic integrity and violated their own code of ethics in order to further the conspiracy with Schiff. Defendants did not seek truth; report truth; minimize harm; act independently; and they most certainly were not transparent.”

The central issue is that Schiff and the liberal activists posing as journalists at Politico engaged in what amounts to a misinformation campaign designed to undermine the president’s confidence in one of his advisors.

“Between October 23, 2019, and November 8, 2019, the Defendants, acting in concert with Schiff, made, published and republished numerous false factual statements of or concerning Kash without privilege of any kind,” court documents reportedly state.

“On November 8, 2019, Schiff released the transcripts of (Fiona) Hill and (NSC Director of European Affairs Lt. Col. Alexander) Vindman’s closed-door, secret interviews conducted in the Capitol Visitor Center. The transcripts demonstrate that Politico, Bertrand, Schiff, and his staffers misled the public in the First and Second Politico Pieces, and intentionally lied about the substance of Hill and Vindman’s interviews.”

The lawsuit points out that Schiff was leaking personal attacks made in closed-door testimony for the purposes of slandering Patel. Court documents also point out that Schiff, and his staff, funneled out-of-context information to waiting Politico employees for the purposes of furthering his impeachment narrative in the media. Politico allegedly knowingly participated in pushing Schiff’s false narratives and took covert steps to hide their anti-Trump collaboration.

“In furtherance of the conspiracy, Bertrand secretly communicated with Schiff or his staff via encrypted email, including proton-mail, and messaging services, such as Signal,” court documents reportedly state.

Although Patel seeks $25 million in damages, he has made it clear that he wants a public jury trial to set the record straight. It appears Congressman Schiff and his assets in the fake news media could finally be held accountable for dragging patriots through the muck.
