This Kavanaugh nonsense has gone past tolerance. It’s reached the point where even CNN anchors are saying on live TV that they don’t believe these bogus claims. In fact, two men have come forward as being the ones Ford remembers. That’s a pretty big blow. But, no amount of truth or reality will deter the Democrats from going through with this stunt.
In the end, Kavanaugh already has 43 of the 51 votes he needs virtually guaranteed. At least one Democrat is very likely to vote for him, and there are enough Republicans to push his confirmation through. More likely than not, he will still be confirmed for the Supreme Court before the November elections. This stunt by the left is both futile and disgusting.
Stall Tactics
This whole circus has a single, focused point. It’s a stall tactic. The left is convinced that they are going to win the House and Senate in November. If they can stall this confirmation for just a few more weeks, then they’ll be able to see the results of the election. From there, they figure stalling until the new Congress takes office won’t be too tough. Once they control Congress, they will deny any Trump nomination and try to remove him from office through impeachment.
Make no mistake. What the left wants is absolute and permanent control over all branches of government. That’s the point of all of this, and they have now shown that they will burn America to the ground in pursuit of their aims.
Credible Claims
That might sound like hyperbole, but they are now at the depths of immorality. They will happily and repeatedly falsely accuse a man of rape and sexual assault just to get their way. They are trying to emotionally manipulate the masses, and they have to because they have no facts or credible claims. It has always been the tactic of the left to ignore reality and make emotional demands when the truth doesn’t support their cause. This is no different.
It’s hard to navigate the he-said-she-said mess that stems from old accusations like this. But it’s obvious that Democrats timed these accusations to be a last minute Hail Mary politically.
The nature of the accusations is obviously designed to be undisprovable. What this case amounts to is a set of he-said-she-said arguments. The legal system cannot handle cases like that. There is no way for two unprovable and contrary claims to be fairly adjudicated. The best thing any judge could do is to throw it out.
If you really want to cut through the smoke and mirrors, consider this. If the left had anything substantial, this would have been settled behind closed doors. Their goal is to keep Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court, and the most reliable way would be to approach him and his lawyers outside of the public arena. They would show him the damning evidence and he would withdraw rather than risk the information leaking.
The left would happily let him withdraw his bid for “medical reasons” or whatever cover he chose if it meant keeping a Trump appointment off the bench. This is the way politics usually plays, and it’s been in the left’s playbook for over a century. The fact that this is going to a public hearing is proof that there are no credible claims. The left’s Hail Mary is that a baseless accusation is enough to win public opinion.
Rule of Law
The thing is, the actual progression of events might be more disturbing than the left’s willingness to make false accusations. A man with an absolutely perfect public and private record is being dragged through the mud. He has passed so many background checks at this point that it borders on being ridiculous. Since they had no reasonable way to discredit Kavanaugh, they went this route, but the scary part is the way they have completely ignored rule of law.
Several Democratic Senators have now gone on record that they don’t care about burden of proof or the presumption of innocence. These are vital parts of our justice system that are baked into the process in order to prevent political opponents from simply smearing the other guy to get their way.
In other words, our justice system is designed to prevent this exact scenario. That major members of Congress are so willing to throw that away is the most dangerous and disturbing revelation.
The Democrats would actually rather end “justice for all” in order to maintain power in our government. They could simply adapt their platforms in order to win votes legitimately, but that would involve empowering the people. The left hates freedom. They hate individuality, and they hate America. They are now actively undermining the very principles of justice from within our own Congress.
