The Bay Area town of Fremont, California is super Woke. In fact, the city is so Woke that it has a Tesla patrol car for its police force. They town’s leaders hope that Fremont will be a “carbon neutral” city in just a few years so they can save the planet. The cops in your town might be there to “Protect and Serve,” but in Fremont, the cops are there to help signal their climate virtue.
But during a high-speed chase this week, Fremont’s “Tesla Cop” had to radio dispatch to tell them he was breaking off the pursuit. The embarrassed officer then had to hunt for a charging station, because his Climate Justice Tesla had run out of battery juice. That seems like a hilarious metaphor for every Russia-emoluments-Stormy-Putin bombshell we’ve heard for the past three years.
Here we go! Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Maxine Waters are charging down Impeachment Road behind the wheel of their solar-powered jalopy, in hot pursuit of the Bad Orange Man once again! They’re sure to catch him THIS TIME!
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has announced that formal impeachment proceedings are under way, because President Trump talked on the phone with the newly elected president of Ukraine. An intelligence whistleblower who had not listened to that call and who had never even seen a transcript of that phone call, issued a complaint that Trump had threatened to withhold $400 million in military aid from Ukraine, unless they agreed to reopen an investigation of Joe Biden’s crooked son and brothers in that country.
Even if that were completely true (we now know it’s not true), it’s hard to see an impeachable crime anywhere in there. In May of 2018, Democrat Senators Dick Durbin, Bob Menendez and Patrick Leahy sent a letter demanding that Ukraine release the Trump-Russian collusion evidence that they obviously must be hiding in a lockbox.
They specifically threatened to cut off foreign aid to Ukraine – unless Ukraine cooperated in framing Trump for all that Russian collusion that Robert Mueller never found. Should Durbin, Menendez and Leahy impeach themselves?
According to an Inspector General report, the intelligence whistleblower who started this latest bombshell is a partisan 2016 Hillary supporter with an axe to grind against President Trump. This individual, whoever it is, has filed multiple whistleblower complaints against President Trump. None of them have panned out, because the whistleblower files a complaint every single time he or she hears a rumor about Trump. Sounds like a solid star witness against Trump!
Just a few hours after Pelosi announced formal impeachment proceedings for the Ukraine phone call, President Trump declassified the Ukraine phone call and released it for the public to see. How ironic that the entire story turned out to be a complete and total lie!
Trump never threatened to withhold aid from the Ukraine, the president of Ukraine is the one who brought up Joe Biden in the conversation – and Trump revealed that the US Department of Justice is investigating the Biden family’s corruption in Ukraine. Trump asked for Ukraine’s cooperation in an investigation that is already under way! Sorry, Democrats, looks like you won’t be able to drag this one out for the next year.
This might be the quickest debunking of all time of a Democrat/media complex lie about President Trump. Fortunately, we’re still being treated to a mountain of conspiracy theories about the story, from the people who got Alex Jones kicked off Facebook and YouTube.
My favorite conspiracy theory so far is the one that this was all a trap to lure Pelosi into launching an impeachment inquiry. One version of this theory is that Trump already knew about the fake whistleblower complaint, so he leaked it to the New York Times himself.
The other version is that one of Biden’s 2020 primary opponents on the Democrat side launched the whole thing, in an underhanded Clinton-style double-secret attack. That sounds mildly plausible, because no one can even explain the convoluted Ukraine story without first explaining that Joe Biden’s crackhead son was making money hand-over-fist in Ukraine for some reason; and that Biden abused his power as Vice President under Obama to squash a Ukrainian investigation into his ne’er-do-well son.
Was it Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, the DNC or President Trump who lured Pelosi into the impeachment trap? Who cares! Mitch McConnell has already announced that he’s going to smoke the Democrats if they go through with an impeachment vote in the House. Once again, Democrats pounce on President Trump and the result is more WINNING!
