Joe Biden has a bit of a dilemma on his hands. No, not the dilemma where he thinks he’s staring down Corn Pop in the 1960s – a different sort of dilemma. Bernie Sanders supporters are threatening to walk away from the 2020 election entirely if the DNC steals the election out from under Bernie a second time in a row.
That doesn’t leave the Democrats very much wiggle room when it comes to choosing a VP candidate to “balance Biden.” In fact, the woke Democrat base that does not support Bernie is insisting that Biden’s VP choice be a member of The Diversity.
A Woman of More Color Than Elizabeth Warren would be their first choice, obviously. But short of that, any person who can check several diversity boxes on the VP form will do. It just can’t be a white male.
That does leave some options. Kamala Harris is furiously sucking up to Biden right now. And let’s face it, sucking up to powerful men is what she does best; it’s a strategy that’s served her well in the past.
Also on the list is failed Georgia Governor candidate Stacey Abrams. Two years after she lost the election Abrams is still telling media outlets she won the race. This should be a sad fact, but Democrat loving media outlets are still propping this woman up and telling her she’s right and she’d be great in the White House.
Corey Booker and Julian Castro are probably on the Biden shortlist, at least if you flip over to page 2 or 3.
We all intuitively know the Democrats are lying to themselves because the party of identity politics has been in a weird self-destruct mode since November 9, 2016. Biden’s not going to pick someone sane and sensible. Because they now live in an upside-down world where all logic and reason have fled, the Democrats won’t pick a candidate who could help bolster Biden and actually win. They’re going to pick a disaster as Biden’s running mate.
Which means that CNN contributor, former Tallahassee mayor and failed Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum just shot to the top of Biden’s list! Florida Governor and patriot champion Ron DeSantis narrowly defeated Gillum in the 2018 race. Ever since DeSantis defeated him, Gillum has been a regular on CNN as the fake news network tries to perpetually bore its viewers to death with the most crazed anti-Trump talking heads they can find.
Kudos to Florida voters for 2018, by the way – DeSantis is one of the top 2 most awesome governors in the entire country right now.
Here’s a “hypothetical” situation for you to consider. And I’m throwing this out because I’d like to get a second opinion on something. Also, it’s kind of gross, so it will be difficult for most normal people to consider but bear with me.
Imagine that you, dear reader, are in a hotel room with a gay male escort. And… you’re vomiting all over the place. When a third invited guest shows up to that hotel room, they find you vomiting everywhere and the male escort is on the floor, pretty much dead. The third guest calls 911 and begins chest compressions on the mostly-dead gay escort. Paramedics and police show up, and they manage to revive the not-quite-dead-after-all gay escort. Plus, the cops find baggies of crystal methamphetamine in the room.
Here’s my question: Would the police let you go without charging you with a crime in that situation? Because that’s exactly what happened to Andrew Gillum on Thursday night. They let him go.
Gillum was vomiting and so intoxicated that he couldn’t answer any questions. He was so out of it that he didn’t even realize that the gay porn star/escort had OD’d. The porn star guy is only alive today because the third man who had been invited to the party did chest compressions on him.
When Gillum was incapable of answering any questions, police just let him go home (Gillum is a married father of three). Did he take an Uber, or did they let him drive? Inquiring minds want to know!
Gillum hasn’t been charged with possession of crystal meth, soliciting prostitution or anything else. Crystal meth can be detected in a urinalysis for up to three days, but Gillum wasn’t tested or arrested. He held a press conference the day after what was obviously a drug-fueled orgy in which his male escort nearly died. And he asked the media to respect his privacy in this trying time, naturally.
Once again, a prominent Democrat turns up in an incredibly salacious and illegal situation and gets to walk away scot-free. It must be that “white privilege” I’m always hearing about! Anyway, after his brush with the law that didn’t result in any charges, I look forward to Andrew Gillum’s one-on-one debate with Mike Pence later in the campaign season.
