Democrats Have Buyer’s Remorse with Joe Biden, #PresidentCuomo Trends on Twitter

As presumptive Democrat Candidate Joe Biden hides in his home, President Trump leads from the front. The President and his team continue to chronicle gains in their battle to overcome the medical logistical mess they inherited from years of neglect by previous administrations—including eight years of the Obama-Biden incompetency.

In the last week Joe Biden has appeared before the media only one time. He was pasty-faced and grouchy in the interview and appeared even less lifelike than usual. To be fair, Joe is in no position to contribute, since the emeritus status of an ex-veep carries no weight. He has no plan, no management skills and isn’t leading anyone through this crisis.

Sleezy Ol’ Joe could at least be supportive and positive. Offer the American people some encouraging, unifying words during this difficult time. Instead, in his only public statement he came across as a grouchy old grandfather complaining about “them damn politicians” and urging President Trump to work faster.

Meanwhile, the other superannuated crone Speaker Nancy Pelosi isn’t helping. Remarks like “people are dying” because the President didn’t take the crisis serious don’t even approach reasonable reality. Pelosi’s apparently forgetting that when this crisis began back in February, she was 100% laser focused on impeaching President Trump.

In a time when resilience and unity are what will overcome this crisis, Nancy and Joe aren’t up to the task.

One Democrat, however, has performed so well that President Trump praised him. That would be New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. He leads the state with the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases and deaths in the country. He has been a paragon of cooperation and a good partner in the fight.

Rather than playing the blame game–for example, pointing out how New York leaders encouraged people to show up for Chinese New Year’s celebrations last January–President Trump does what leaders do best: he gets on with solving the crisis. Also, like any good leader, President Trump recognizes and acknowledges good performance.

Governor Cuomo, bad policies aside, is leading his stricken state through this pandemic. In fact, Democrats may be feeling the first twinges of buyer’s remorse. Governor Cuomo is younger than Sleepy Joe and has no known history of groping young female campaign aides.

To add to the Democrat angst, President Trump in a recent Fox News Interview employed an exquisite form of truth-telling. Responding to a question about whom he would rather run against, the President noted that Governor Cuomo would be a far better candidate than Joe Biden.

Joe Biden probably blew a few hair plugs when he heard that, but Governor Cuomo didn’t take the bait. He has no plans, he said, to run for President.

Democrats, meanwhile, are wandering the bleak landscape of dashed dreams. How could this happen? In a series of astonishing events, Wall Street tanked, and the American economy could be facing a historic downturn. Isn’t that a bad thing for Trump?

Note to Democrats: It’s not the economy, stupid. The coronavirus pandemic requires the brand of leadership that President Trump has shown. He pays no attention to a hostile press, who seem to hate him even more than Nancy and Joe. It’s almost pathetic to watch how he handles unfair and loaded questions from the Peanut Gallery of dopey young reporters, who probably yearn for the piñata days of George W. Bush or the coddling of Barack Obama.

Democrats still haven’t caught on. After their failed and stupid investigations and an impeachment farce used up their political ammunition, the President is stronger than ever.

So, the big question in their minds has to be, how could their longed-for economic downturn result in higher approval numbers for President Trump?

The truth has been there from day one of his administration: Donald Trump is our first “what your see is what you get” president. People get that, even when Democrats tell everyone to ignore the evidence of their own experience.
