Here’s the Perfect Way to Stop Putin from Hacking Our Democracy in 2020

“Russian election interference” isn’t just a slogan for Democrats. It’s a giant metal ball that they’ve handcuffed to their legs. And the ball isn’t coming off, even if you threaten to toss them in a lake. They are married to “Russian election interference.”

You’d think after the way Robert Mueller’s investigation blew up in their faces like a Wile E. Coyote contraption from the ACME Corporation that they’d have decided to finally move on. But you’d be wrong.

Just the other day, Clinton hatchet-man George Stephanopoulos asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) if she’s still worried about Russian election interference in 2020. Pelosi’s response was, “That’s 24/7! They’re still engaged!”

Pelosi then went on to accuse not only President Trump of colluding with the Russians for the 2020 election, but also declared that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is a Russian “accomplice.”

Pelosi then drunkenly wonders why Mitch McConnell hasn’t taken his “evidence” of Russian election hacking to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, in order to protect our “critical election infrastructure.”

Yeah, I can’t make any sense of that statement, either.

Since when does Mitch McConnell have evidence of Russian election hacking? And if he had that evidence, why would he take it to Mike Pompeo, of all people? And what exactly is this “critical election infrastructure” that Putin is hacking?z If Nancy’s family loved her, they would announce her retirement immediately and then quietly shuffle her off to a good 12-step program.

I’ve also noticed and pointed out previously that all of these people throwing these bumper sticker slogans around about “Russian election interference” and how “Putin hacked our democracy” are really sparing with details. In fact, they don’t have any details. What was hacked? What was interfered with?

Anyway, enough with the questions, because we’re all about answers and solutions here. Democrats are married to the idea that Putin is hacking the 2020 election even as we speak. “That’s 24/7!” So, let’s play along.

Since Democrats are so incredibly concerned about the integrity of our elections, and the “fact” that Putin is hacking the elections 24/7, we have to stop him. Here’s how: Voter ID.

It would make it incredibly difficult for Putin to hack our democracy, if we require every voter to present a valid, government issued form of identification when voting. Every time a state-level challenge against voter ID has made it to the Supreme Court, it has ruled that states absolutely have a right to require voter ID. There is no reason to suspect that a federal voter ID law would be overturned by the courts. All of the legal precedent is in favor of voter ID.

I know what you’re thinking, Democrats. You’re thinking that voter ID will hamper your efforts to cheat in elections. Oh, sorry! That’s not what you’re thinking. What you’re really thinking is that voter ID is “racist.”

I can alleviate that concern as well. We all know that America is the only country that is racist, right? According to your leftist doctrine, America is the only country that has ever been racist! Therefore, we should run our elections like other countries, right?

Perhaps it would be a better, non-racist way to hold elections if we did it like Germany, France, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Switzerland and the Netherlands, correct? Oh, sorry, just one problem with that. You see, all of those countries that you consider to be non-racist actually use voter ID in order to protect their “critical election infrastructure” and to prevent Putin from hacking their democracies. So those wouldn’t be good examples.

How about those countries to the south of us? Maybe we could run our elections like they do in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and so on? Oh, wait.

Nope… virtually all Latin American countries have strict voter ID laws, in which citizens of those countries have to have a national voter registration card in their possession, along with a valid government-issued photo ID in order to vote. In other words, an MS-13 assassin has to show ID to vote in his home country of El Salvador… but not in Rhode Island.

Come to think of it, Canada has a strict voter ID law as well. Which makes America the only country in North and South America where we don’t have a national voter ID law. That’s such a glaring weakness that it’s obviously how Putin is hacking our democracy. So, what do you say, Nancy? Isn’t it time to get the House cracking on that federal voter ID law, to keep Putin from hacking our critical election infrastructure 24/7?
