The first presidential debate is in the can. At the end of a 90-minute slug fest and verbal brawl, President Trump’s record is now 1-0-0. The two zeroes signify defeats of Joe Biden and the moderator Chris Wallace, who helped Joe over the finish line throughout the debate.
As the debate proceeded and it became clear that President Trump wasn’t going to allow Joe to pose as some pontificating savior of the country, moderator Chris Wallace—who has made it very clear he is not a big fan of President Trump when he appears on Fox News—seemed to lose his cool. When Chris was able to restore order, and Joe had that rheumy “where were we?” look in his eyes, Chris gently steered Joe back on track.
Example: President Trump accused Joe and his environmental whacko supporters of wanting to spend over a hundred trillion dollars on a “Green New Deal.” No, said, Joe, that’s not my plan. I own the Democrat party now, and our Green New Deal will save America.
Wait, said Chris, didn’t you just say that the Green New Deal wasn’t your plan? Oh, yeah, said Joe. I meant my clean energy plan. Chris seemed happy that he could clear up a misunderstanding, which amounted to a distinction without a difference.
It became clear that President Trump’s commanding presence and grasp of the situation contrasted to Biden’s cranky, irritated, and rattled presence. In fact, it was clear that President Trump was getting the better of the debate when Joe resorted to calling the President of the United States a clown and a liar. Personal attacks are the last resort of someone losing an argument.
Joe appeared overly prepared and eager to spew Democrat lies and smoke screens. However, where Joe tried using symbol over substance, President Trump called bullshit.
For example, Biden said that Roe vs. Wade was on the ballot now that Judge Barrett was nominated for the Supreme Court. Shouldn’t we wait and let the people decide? No, said, President Trump, I’m the President, and even the late Judge Ginsburg acknowledged that. And could you please show us where Roe vs. Wade is on the ballot?
Then there was the deer-in-the-headlights moment when President Trump asked Biden to name one police organization who supported the weak ex-Vice President for reelection. He couldn’t, because there aren’t any.
President Trump was most vulnerable on his handling of the pandemic. The President deftly deflected Joe’s claims that the President was guilty of genocide for the deaths of 200,000 Americans due to the coronavirus. Trump brilliantly asked what Joe would have done different. Probably allowed more Chinese visitors.
And in another bout of memory loss, Joe Biden could not recall that even his left wingnuts praised President Trump’s early response to the pandemic. No, shouted Joe, that never happened. Yes, smiled the President, it did, and I remember it clearly.
In the end, it appeared that the moderator Chris Wallace became increasingly exasperated with a President who kicks the press around like yapping poodles. He yearned for decorum, but what he got was President Trump, who lights up every room with an obnoxious charisma that makes Washington swamp dwellers’ blood boil.
Speaking of which, it is likely that Joe Biden wished he had taken Nancy Pelosi’s advice and not stepped on the same stage with President Trump. Nancy and her own pet poodle, Chuck Schumer, have their own scars after being slapped down more than once by a President that they and their media allies (like Chris Wallace) can neither figure out nor control.
I believe Chris Wallace was OVERWHELMED . . . and it looks like Upchuck Schumer and Pelosi has had a MAJOR hunk taken off their BACKSIDES by the BULLDOG named TRUMP (Yay!). Nice doggie. One HUMORED Patriot. Team Trump and his allies 2020.

Chris Wallace and all of the media hate President Trump and will try to do anything to destroy him so he won’t get a second term. When announced that Wallace was moderating as a moderate my thought was “I’d like to see that”, he was willing but unable. My hope is President Trump will continue to be strong & firm not react, as he has done more in his short term in office than several administrations for several years. Chris Wallace was not a fair reporter to handle this debate. I worked for a mediation law firm and no mediator would have bahaved in the manner that he did. A mediator is fair and listens to both sides and lets each side present his case. A mediator does not favor one side or the other, but Chris Wallace clearly was out to give favor to Biden, which the Dems must have loved. Chris Wallace did not do anything a fair mediator would have done. He seemed to railroad President Trump every chance he could get. I think he should be removed from his place as a journalist. He is simply awful. He sided with Biden and did not give our President a fair shot at anything. Chris Wallace is horrible as a moderator. I agree with you. It would be very, very difficult to find an unbiased moderator in the media in today’s world. Media is out, universities are out as they are liberal havens and possibly the only place would be a mediator in the court system who are trained to do it and do it right. The first debate should have been monitored by both a Democrat and a Republican.
Democrat monitor would ask tough question to the President and the Republican monitor would ask tough question to the democrat candidate.

Chris Wallace brought up the manufactured hyperbolic propagandistic issue of President Trump’s income tax returns. In the first place, other than the IRS, nobody has a legal right to access to anyone else’s income tax return without (1) probable cause, and without (2) a court order from a judge who has heard the case. This propaganda is not credible because those two things aren’t even mentioned.
It was obvious that C. Wallace did not want President Trump to do well in the debate.

During the debate, I counted 35 times Chris Wallace interrupted President Trump but only 2 times for Biden. Very lopsided, showing favoritism. Neither of the debaters showed respect for the other. I thought a debate was the moderator asked a question of one of them, then allowed a rebuttal for 2 minutes.l Where was the fairness? And I believe Joe was wearing a device but had trouble hearing it because the President spoke over it. Once during the debate, I saw Biden put his hand inside his jacket and pat down his white shirt. Fox News Channel watcher for many years. The last few years I have noticed that Fox is little by little going

on Roger Ayles at least Fox News was still Fair and Balanced. It certainly isn’t now. If it were not for a few of

Wallace would not allow President Trump to speak, he kept OVER talking him it seemed in favor of Biden. I found myself talking back to this moderator and NOT favorably! Who selected this creep for this job? I wanted to hear both Trump and Biden, but Wallace kept butting in. How many times did HE interupt? Wallace needs to go away. Very difficult to get much out of this debate because of Wallace’s mouth and total disrespect for our President.
What made my ears perk up was when Chris Wallace debated Trump on riot activity that happened in Fort Worth, Texas and Tulsa, Oklahoma? Now, President Trump is debating Biden on the violence in Democrat run cities and states, i.e. Portland, Seattle and Chicago? Then Wallace comments to Trump of Republican run Texas and Oklahoma, which riots didn’t last long and was dealt with quickly by law enforcement, but that’s Biden responsibility to debate Trump on the issues, NOT Chris Wallace. So Wallace comes to the rescue of Joe Biden once again and Trump is debating two people on Tuesday night!

The disastrous debate was the fault of varmint Chris Wallace. When Chris Wallace , a leftist Democrat asked President Trump the first question, Joe Biden, with a smirk on his face interrupted President Trump before his two minutes were up, and Chris Wallace said, “Oh, let him speak.” That set the tone of the debate! Joe Biden looked at the camera, kept that smirk on his face, and mumbled under his breath the entire time of the debate when President Trump spoke! Then Biden had the audacity to call President Trump a clown, a fool, a liar, and told him to shut up! Biden got the baby questions, and President Trump got the hardball questions. While I did not like any of the interruptions, in the end I’m convinced that President Trump would not have been able to score any points had he NOT interrupted. Chris Wallace had the audacity to scold President Trump for his interruptions, but then Biden did a lot of interrupting which apparently was okay! When President Trump brought up Hunter Biden, that did not please old Wallace either. Of course, it should be something to cover in the debate, as that’s one of the ways the entire Biden family has become enriched! Also, Joe’s quid pro quo when he told the president of the Ukraine gov’t to fire the investigator who was investigating Hunter, or he would not agree to giving the millions of dollars in U.S. aid to the Ukraine, and the Ukraine president followed Joe’s wishes. Chris Wallace interrupted there too, and wouldn’t allow President Trump to continue.

I do not think. that the moderator worked specifically for Biden. I think this moderator just didn’t do the job. The impression is that he is absolutely incompetent, not professional. not a very smart person. And he failed the case he took on.
this is the first time I have heard what others thought about the debates other than a short, it made me sick by a few friends. I am so excited to find I am not alone concerning mike Wallace being considered let alone chosen to be the moderator. and who ever heard of the insanity of Fox to have only one moderator anyway.
